What would be a good strategy for attracting senior citizens to SFI?

As a senior myself, I would be most likely to engage in a conversation about extra income with a person who took some time to get to know my hopes, dreams, family life, and how I spend most of my time.

Seniors either have enough money for their needs and wants or they are looking for a way to supplement what they have. They are often worried that they haven't put enough money away to last until the end of their life. They are facing their mortality and do not want to get into anything

I take this question most personally since I, along with I am sure many thousands of other SFI affiliates, am part of that demographic. I am 65 and my lovely wife is a beautifully budding 60. We are not invalids, incompetent, nor are we ready for a nursing home. With that being said, we are active (we swim and workout regularly) and we are computer literate (I was once a Network Support Technician of a major hotel in Las Vegas).

You will need to study the area where you live to see where senior citizens are gathering. In one small rural town I used to reside is a Community Center that has live musicians and dances on a monthly basis. Even though most are senior citizens it is open to all ages.

In some circles you could be considered a senior citizen at age 50 or 55. The best strategy is to befriend them. They need to see you has a reputable and trustworthy person. If you have Facebook Friends who are Senior Citizens

Great question!

This is a question I have asked myself.

Where would I go?

After I think about this question, another question comes to mind. Where am I likely to find those seniors I wish to target.

The first answer will be senior forums. This is a very good source, but I would caution you to make sure you are opening up lines of communication here, and not just blatantly slinging links out all over the forum.

Another place is Google search.

Senior citizens are people with years of transferable skills, workplace experiences, training and education. A good strategy to use would be to focus on the skills that they have and how they can be transfered to the SFI environment.

Take time to explain how they can use the skills that they have to build a team, build a business and grow an income.

They need to be aware that although it is a new venture, there are opportunities for them to use their existing knowledge

This is a great question!

To attract senior citizens to SFI, first, put yourself in their shoes. Ask yourself, "What do they spend time on during the day? Where do they get together? Where will you find them?" The answers will help you determine the best ways to reach them.

I believe that the best angle to approach senior citizens to SFI is from the standpoint of additional income for retirement. Today more than 50% of people reach retirement age and have to continue working if their health permits. For those who have failing health, they have to rely on a fixed income and their children to help them in retirement. So many seniors are looking for ways to leave the workforce but continue to have an income besides retirement. Many seniors only have Social Security

Interesting Question.

I think a lot of senior citizens really worry about how they're going to survive into old age. Most people have less than $1000 in savings for their retirement. I think that they also worry about not being able to leave a legacy for their children and grandchildren. They don't want their loved ones to have to suffer the same hardships as they may have.

I would invite them to have a look at the potential of SFI to supplement or even replace their pensions
