Good question! It is hard to trespass into others mind and find those qualities is very difficult. But, we can understand this trait from the natural instinct of a person. A Business minded person will be always an extrovert. So, any person who are keenly interested in approaching others with any subject on a pre-conceptual or analytical mind and discussing the same without hesitation is always skilled with business ideas. If an affiliate keenly showing the interest in learning the training sessions and always interact with his Team Leader, he must be a business skilled person. Generally, in life, fear is the biggest barrier to many challenges and certainly overcoming one’s fear is a step in the right direction. You must also understand that a new affiliate will takes time to get to know all the nuances of the business activities. It takes time to get to know all the products. It takes time to figure out what marketing activities will work best for each affiliate . So nobody should fear about the success of his business. Through hard work, any Affiliate can reach up to the top and become a Star in SFI. There is no alternative for success, except hard work.

There are two main ways to identify skills that your affiliate has:
1) Read your affiliate's profile. It will contain information of what he or she currently knows about network and affiliate marketing.
2) Talk or write to your affiliate. Not only does this help you learn more about his or her other knowledges, abilities, talents, and skills, but it also builds the bonds you will need in order to train him or her.

Maybe there are people in the world which everything do easy and which "know how" about everything they touched , but I don't know them . I know people which made a success with a lot of hard work. So, that could be major skill to make stars from our affiliates in SFI. If they have experience in advertising, that could be primary skill. After that, communications skills are important in making a good team. If they have all this, they will be a star.
Checking your "movers" red tab found on your SFI homepage daily is a fantastic way to see potential stars of your team! You can see their versapoints to date, the last time they logged in, and if they have qualified for fast track status. You may also want to check your genealogy page often for the many action tracking tools located there!
I don't think you need skills to help affiliates to become stars,it is honesty tell them what you did to become what you are in SFI. I for the first time had a coversation with one of my CSA's that became EA and we had a long SFI chat , what I told her came out of the heart and she replied every time. What I told her she was so happy I could talk and help she wanted to talk even more and I felt well and I saw potential in this girl she will go far in SFI and she can even become a good Team leader and Sponsor or Co-Sponsor and even my mentor

Like this question very much an my personal opinion is that affiliate who at the beginning shows great interest in this work, which constantly asks what he does not know, who works every day tasks, who starts very fast with advertising and recruiting new affiliates. All these are indicators that such member will be a star and a great leader one day.
you can get any legitimate knowledge about your affiliate from affiliate snapshot...this is the beauty of this business ....you can guide as well their badges shows the eagerness and dedication about this business.....and another thing is there is no need of any special skill to earn through this business....all reasonable knowledge are here like "Rules of success" lessons and other......
