Is it wise to offer non-SFI related incentives to my CSAs and PSAs? For example, create a standing order and get a free DVD?

I think that SFI has given many incentives to become a Executive Affiliate or a Team Leader, that is the genius with this program. If you are offering non SFI gifts what would be your gain. If someone is needing to get to a certain level it usually is that they are lacking money to place an order. So I would suggest that the only incentive that you would want to offer would be SFI related, such as a gift certificate or T-credits.
Why not? Everyone loves to receive a gift. Also, everyone likes to see that his work is appreciated. Also, everyone likes to feel special and loved.
This tactic used by large companies for decades. As they reward their customers for loyalty, so you can reward your PSA. It would be ideal if you had enough money to reword them with W3 membership or TC ( send your PSA a gift certificate). But the DVD is fine too.
If you have a lot of something that is valuable to your general downline, then YES. But, don't try to offload some crap that no one wants, right? Better yet, if it is business related free stuff! Or better yet, use the product as a reward or prize for a contest you can run to motivate your crew. I wouldn't go out and spend money on incentives, but if you have it already and it's seen as valuable to your downline, by all means, go ahead!

I would say that offering a SFI biz product is the best gift as a prize.
Give T credits or better yet,a Gift Certificate.
You would be adding S&H costs to your biz giving physical products as prizes.
This way they get used to going to Tripleclicks. We want them to do Transfer Buying there
too.

This is a very good question. In my opinion sometimes it can be wise and sometimes not.
I think, if you have done some offline recruiting in your own neigbourhood, town etc. and you might have access to something "valuable" outside the SFI World - why don´t use it??
But I would never use it towards any PSA´s or CSA´s whom I have recruited online. In that case I would strictly stay within SFI related incentives.

If you have an incentive to offer, particularly one that helps your PSAs and CSAs succeed even more (like when I design business cards for mine), you should definitely offer it. Ideally, your incentive should provide value without too much expense. After all, if you spend five dollars rewarding an action that earns you two dollars in commissions and bonues, you just lost money in the process.

Hello Theodore,
To the best of my knowledge, I believe its a wise decision because its a form of motivation that gives them instant gratification as opposed to SFI related ones that might not be immediate and thereby not enough motivation to spur them to action. Before you do this however, please do confirm that you’ll not be contravening any of SFI's rules or policies.
Also, the incentive has to be something that will interest all and sundry bearing in mind that SFI is a multicultural platform and should not be gender based unless you are offering equal alternatives.
All the best in your endeavors!!!

A standing order is SFI related: that helps your paycheck go up via commissions!
Wise? Personally I'm not going to say yes or no, but I think that incentives should remain SFI related so that it helps them build their businesses. They need leaders that show and tell them how to earn their income 'solo' here since that's why they've signed up.
On the other hand if the free DVD is offered through a non-SFI website that they can sign up on ... why not? Nothing should be holding you back. They need to be able to touch base with you somewhere, somehow.

It depends on what the DVD is about. A workout DVD? There's nothing wrong in that. But it would be better to offer business building incentives. Like free 1000 visitors to his SFI gateway. Or if the DVD is a talk by a business Guru.
The only thing that is not allowed is cross solicitation. That means getting your CSAs and PSAs to join another business outside of SFI. Other than that, the limit is your imagination.
