Cold calling is by definition a method of making unsolicited telephone calls or house calls to potential clients.

You want to know whether using the telephone directory is a good method of finding your new affiliates. It's a good idea. Cold calling is the basic stage of selling. Cold calling abilities are usefull in many aspects. Good cold calling perform properly.
Viewed positively and creatively , cold-calling is empowering and potent.

2.Pre-empt the competition

Cold calling may works well in some area or some department. But through my survey report, most people nowadays skip cold calling.

Some say distracting, just like a salesmen bragging for sales.

Some say they are not ready for talks, while focusing on their work, driving or housework activity.

Some say their phone bills are high and prefers text chat.

I guess time has change. And texting becomes more popular in generals.

It is important, before you use the Cold Call Strategy, to double check to see if there are laws in your local area which need to be followed.

Some countries have a Do Not Call directory so this needs to be checked as neglect to follow local laws is not what SFI is about.

Secondly - use of a telephone directory is one way to get a start to obtain phone numbers of people or business to contact to promote SFI.

A strategy to use may be to connect with Warm-calls first

Back in the day before computers all we had was the telephone. That is how we received business. Cold calling.
Now days we have to check the do not call list before we even dial a number it carries a hefty fine I've heard $11,000.
Cold calling is a fantastic tool if used correctly. Not only using the local directory but you also can target a specific area by use of the computer. (Your neighborhood for example) Imagine how helpful it would be if your cold callers knew you were right around

While I'm sure that it's possible to cold-call thousands of homes to get a handful of PSAs, there are two main reasons I wouldn't:

1) It would take a great deal of stamina to make all those calls, deal with all the "no" answers and hang-ups, and more importantly,

2) There's a general rule, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." I don't like being cold-called by anyone, for any reason, so I'm not going to do this to anyone else.

It might work for some but I would say it would not be the best way to go. If you want to do marketing over the phone your best bet would be family and friends.

Think about it - how many people do you know actually likes telemarketers? Even though they are also trying to make a living like the rest of us, they still irritate the living daylights out of most people.

A practical point - you have to make sure they click on YOUR link - how are you going to do that? Let them

Back in the day, this was the way ALL telemarketing was done. If you wanted to reach new customers, you got a phone book and phone and went right down the listings and called.
This was then & is now, a BIG waste of time. In those days, this was nearly the ONLY way to get to new customers, at least on a budget.
But, today we have a better version of that archaic marketing and that's your COMPUTER. Use it! Mention SFI and TripleClicks anytime you can. Buy things at TripleClicks yourself,

Yes! I think that using all different types of Marketing can certainly help you in attracting new PSAs and/or PRMs.

A Telephone Directory can be a big resource for many different uses.
