I am going to reply to your question using my own experiences

First I always look at new Affiliates Profile information, if they have done it, this will give me an idea if the affiliate is good at Internet Marketing, what the expectations are upon joining SFI, and more

Second step, is to see if this new member has started to recruit already, from my experience if you get new affiliates and they start recruiting within the first week, even before they reach EA, this is someone

This is very good question! You are very lucky to have an eager new Affiliate that wants to reach a Team Leader position when they start off. Try to support growth when ever it happens in your team. Take an active roll to show the new Affiliate the ropes so to speak. Teaching team building tools like using SFI Business cards to help with team building. Tell them to use the cards in thier everyday life to help build thier team. When they shop or eat out give a business card with the tip or as you

When a new Affiliate signs up and joins SFI, he/she has a lot of expectations to grow his/her earnings. It is basic knowledge that you can achieve this objective by accumulating points to boost both your earnings and ranking. To qualify for team leadership no doubt enhances your income but the affiliate must be carefully guided that it is not just jumping to the topmost rank within a day that will guarantee ultimate success in the business.

The affiliate must be educated very well on the

Yes I feel you should because they are consequences you will face without an ACTIVE team.Main consequence is maintaining this Leadership Rank Action VP is harder to acquire without an active team. You need to spend buy TCredits. 1Tcredit =1AVP.
To me the best way forward is to earn EA minimum of 1500Vp
Make sure you keep this rank monthly until you develop an active team the Vp earned by your PSAs pushes you up in Leader rank .hence you EARN your TRUE rank as a leader.
Take a look at

This is a very dicey question. It is dicey in the sense that we all have our individual differences as business persons. It could be very tricky to take a firm position simply because it worked for you. What worked for you may not necessarily work for another person. However, it is good to point out the advantages available to affiliates when they become Team Leaders and let them take their own decisions.

When you are a Team Leader, you earn Second Home CSAs, T-Credits and VP Matching

My idea is not to discourage them. If they are able to get any ranks let them climb up.
They will automatically understand how they can maintain and how difficult it is to climb up without a team. So by second month end they will know it as tough.

There are good benefits for TL. The share of second home csas are worth to get. And the shiny team leader badge is good for advertising and pronouncing. So let them taste that and enjoy the benefits. Also the new plan encourages the affiliate

It is possible to earn enough VP in your first month to make BTL. This is a mistake!!! Better is to stop at EA and work on building a team. Once you have a few EA2's, the bonuses will push you into the Team Leader ranks naturally.
I see so many New affiliates ranking Bronze and Silver in just a few days. This is just setting yourself up for a major disappointment in months to come if you have not taken the time to learn the business and build a STRONG Affiliate Team. You will need at least 5

Are they earning their Team Leader position from their team members or from their own purchases?

If it's from their own purchases I would encourage them to slow down as much as encourage them to read and learn more. Duplication and growing your team is something that's learned and a good lesson to learn. If they want to spend money on their business is good: they understand investment obviously, but they need to start learning about duplication, PR, reading and learning.

I wouldn't

It really depends on the objective that they have. I think that everyone wants to earn as much money as they can as soon as they can so tell them to maintain the highest possible standard of achievement. Your business starts at EA but that is not the end. Your goal is to build DTL and have them build DTL. That's dedication and work so let them work smart and efficiently toward those goals. If you break up your work into bite size portions it helps to deter burnout. Burnout is common in this

A very good question indeed. This reminds me of the situation that occurs with many new affiliates at SFI. The first time that one joins he/she is greeted with tasks to do which when accomplished, the EXECUTIVE AFFILIATE status is achieved. You will find that since there had been a lot of promises which were aired during the time of advertising, the affiliate is so energetic to the extent that he/she can go up to the topmost leadership status. This is very good and commendable too, nevertheless after
