When I was in college as an undergraduate, I took a course in Educational Psychology. The professor was a gentleman who was a terrific teacher and motivational speaker. I learned more from him than most any other teacher I had in the four years at that university.

He impacted me to such a degree that I wanted to be like him. I wanted to pursue psychology and possibly become a teacher some day myself. I was moved by him, I was excited by his teachings, I was impressed by his knowledge and his wisdom.

After undergraduate school, I pursued a Masters Degree in Psychology and later a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology. I discovered other teachers along the way that kept the flame alive in me. This man was my guide-on throughout my college years and into my practice as a counselor and family therapist. In case you don't know what a "guide-on" is, let me enlighten you. In Napoleonic warfare, men marched in straight lines, waving flags to mark the location of their regiment. In the American Civil War, there were many flags that men carried into battle.In fact, it was a great achievement to capture the enemy's "colors". The guide-on was the flag carried by the Adjutant who accompanied the high ranking officers on the field of battle. The guide-on was usually out in front of the troops leading the way for the men to follow.

In SFI, we as leaders, are the guide-on for our affiliates. We lead the way, we motivate, we inspire, and we teach out affiliates all we know to succeed. Much the same as my college instructor inspired me, we must inspire our affiliates. This, to me, is how we motivate our organization to be motivated. We must be the change we want to see in the affiliates we sponsor. It's that simple, yet, it requires work and dedication on our part. When they observe our enthusiasm and positive attitude, and more, when they sense our compassion for their success, they will be motivated to follow and copy us as leaders.

For the most part, you don't. You can only help those who want to become serious business builders but don't know how.

I advise my PSA's to go through the marketing training available under Marketing Methods and the Internet Income course, then contact me if they still need help. I find that most of the people I've worked with are able to hit the ground running with just this advise. Some will contact me with specific questions after putting these methods to work.

Some will get it most won't. Work with the workers and keep moving forward.

Hi Carl,

Being able to sponsor affiliates is an applaudable task. You actually have got off to a flying start by successfully having team members.

Anyway, we all realize that not all affiliates are serious. Out of 100 of them, you are considered lucky if one or two are active. I think we all are in the same boat. It’s quite easy to sponsor but it’s hard to get the affiliates committed to the business which they are first after to.

My opinion is at a beginning of prospecting, offline or online, you must stress that you only look for serious business partners, who are willing , ever ready to invest time and some money to build this SFI business. At this stage you have done one level of an affiliate filtration.

One more stage is during their first or two months in your team, make things clear again to them about this business. Give them a fact that there is no easy money, no miracle ways or short cut tips to get rich overnight. So, if they are after easy dollars, the SFI biz is not suitable for that kind of personality. Try not sound too harsh though but that important message must be clearly delivered.

After sometimes, you can distinguish which are serious and which are not. Focus and motivate your movers or workers but still once in a while keep a contact with your sleeping affiliates. We do not know, one fine day, they will wake up, change their attitudes and perceptions about SFI, have new ambitions and turn into serious, hard working individuals.

Up to this point, bear in mind that not all PSAs are going to work on this biz and some of them also are actually not suitable to be in SFI ( study their caharacteristics, if you can). So we must have our feet planted firmly on the ground. Being practical and realistic in our hopes and undertakings will not frustrate us.

Our part is to do our work as usual. Lead by examples. You duplicate your leaders and your serious affiliates will duplicate you. Even though you have only a small number of them, if we can work hand in glove, after some time, you will reap what you have sown.

This is a great question. I always ask myself how can I get my PSAs and CSAs to wake up and see the light as I do. I see the money to be made in SFI but for some reason most people don't see it and don't become serious. They sign up, take a quick look, and die on the vine. It can be frustrating. You can try different things like rewarding your affiliates for different achievements, sending out letters offering help, giving them the PSAs you get, etc., but in the end it's up to them to see the light at the end of the tunnel as you and I do. It's up to them to make that first, second, third move in SFI and keep moving forward. Your job is to stay the course and don't give up. Keep doing what your doing and continue sorting through the numbers. There are serious affiliates out there. I see them everyday in the Forum and here and that keeps me going. You will find serious affiliates. It just takes time.

Work with workers. Be encouraging to them and congratulate them for every step they take upwards even if it is small. Stay in contact with them. Tell them what help you to come farther in SFI Business and Show them the importants of being active in a daily Basis.

First of all, I think it is essential that they prove to be serious in its attempt to make the effort to be EA and then we come to the scene, as sponsors. Of those who indicated that they want to succeed, we can make a serious affiliates primarily by showing them our case. Then, we have to clearly visualize the possibilities of making serious money on the particular case by mathematical clarity and precision. That possibilities are real here on SFI and then they will be serious business builders, when they realise that here they can earn serious money. And finally suggest some of the ways to do these profits come: the development of a good team and earnings in this way, selling products with TripleClicks, ECA selling products that we have brought to TripleClicks, TC for sale auctions, etc.

Yes, that is a good question

It depends what and how you work on your acomplishments, thats how your afilliates will work too. I think that affiliates work what you are working too...Copying the leader. If you work only daily and monthly tasks, play games, they will do that too...You are their team leader and with your procedure you need to show your affiliates what they need to do and that is to follow the leader... thats why you need to advertise and make new affiliates, to teach them to work by themselves, that you are the member of fast track, that you have set SO, that as fast as you can become the team leader (BTL minimum), that you open ECA store, that you promote tripleclicks and products from it, that you participate in auctions, that you play games and so on... then will your affiliates follow you and try to work same as you do... that is duplication

All of us desire to see our affiliates become serious business builders in SFI. Here are my own suggestions on what to do to attain that feat.

1. It is important for you to be serious yourself.
2. You must be prepared to lead by example.
3. Establish a clear two-way communication with your affiliates.
4. Mentor and teach your affiliates without let or hindrance.
5. Find and use very credible ways to motivate them.
6. Encourage them to read and learn all they can about SFI as a business.
7. Encourage them to promote their business vigorously.
8. Let them into the tips and tricks of the business.
9. Show them how to earn real big in SFI.
10. Show them the importance of Duplication.
11. Show them how to become team leaders themselves.
12. Teach them resilience and persistence.

I sincerely believe that if you can do all the above diligently, it is possible to get a very high percentage (say up to 5%) of your affiliates to be serious business builders in SFI.
