I personally would think, nothing personal to the poser of this query - no offence or hurt is intended - laying pre-conditions at the first step itself would prove to be detrimental to the advertsing/marketing and duplicating/sponsoring efforts. It would seems to be childish, just like a child who always wants to eat sweets and never intends or cares about the taste of spices which are hot but good for one's health. If one lays pre-conditions as soon as one registers himself freely with the SFI, the affiliate would not get good impression not only of the sponsor but also of the SFI itself thereby resulting in his dis-continuance forever.
Now coming to the next sequential step, it is entirely or solely the duty or responsibility of the Sponsor or the team leader to convert non-interested or casual affiliate into serious and interested affiliates. This is the challenge that each and every Sponsor or team leader must take as a challenge and conduct himself accordingly. Initially, the success rate may be very low or just moderate, but once he develops and masters the skills and tricks on how to convert them into serious affiliates, he would enjoy his task or work and does the same repeatedly again and again.
The above effort of getting mastery over certain aspect such as converting non-serious or uninterested affiliates into serious or interested affiliates not only benefits him personally but also to all those affiliates who are down under in his team economically. Moreover, the Sponsor or team leader can start even teaching or training his technique or mastery over certain aspect to all those who are interested to learn from him and convert them also into superior team leaders or sponsors.
Hence, keeping in view all the discussed points above in the mind, it is always better not to lay pre-conditions such as only serious affiliates are welcome to join or register with SFI - would work in a negative way and there exists every possibility to loosing the prospective affiliates forever.
