I strongly believe in "less is more" when it comes to advertising..
The biggest mistakes I see is people trying to teach or explain SFI in advertisements..
Let SFI be the teacher.. Our role as ADVERTISER ( not teamleader ) is to make people want to investigate / try out SFI..
So in short, use as little info as possible to make people curious.. Everything else is explained on your gateways or inside SFI.
What to put in advertisements? What you initially attract the attention of an ad?
In the first ad, which pay attention? Which is a long, exhaustive, detailed?
Or an ad that is a clear brief, interesting, has a beautiful, compelling image?
On what kind of ad you'll pay attention before? Such ad and write!
I will always pay attention to short, clear, beautiful, good line, but the real one.
SFI provide us with Ads and Banners for our advertising campaigns. Unless you are a STL you can not use your own ads anyway. You must be a STL or higher before you can have your own ads approved by SFI. Take a look at the ads SFI provides and then you will know what size ads are recommended.
Less is generally better. More or less information can also depend on your advertising medium. Factors like cost and restrictions on number of characters allowed.
It is always good to Advertise the most important message what you are trying to get out there that will make potential prospects understand your information and want to give it a try.
Sometimes less is more and again a more detailed message will pay off too but never leave out the most important reason for your adverts.
For example you advertise about SFI make it clear why people should join SFI
I would say "LESS" because it usually draws attention if you put forward a short, to the point and powerful statement. People tend to be in a state of "constant partial attention" these days. Many things keep our minds totally occupied through the day and if you look at yourself, say for instance regarding e-mails, do you open each and every e-mail you receive and study it thoroughly???, I seriously doubt it.
The ads with a SHORT and powerful heading gets your curiosity going. The most successful marketing campaigns (btw, it pays to look at any business around you and see what attracts people regarding electronic, written or visual media)tend to be the ones with a short (also easy to remember) and powerful information message.
