Good question Adebayo. With this one I think you need a small notebook. I know it is the digital age but I personally like to have the notebook next to me while I am doing things. I have 4 notebooks for my SFI business and refer to them many times during the day while I am working my business.

Firstly, you need to detail each place/site where you have posted your SFI ad. You might have several ads on the one site. In this regard you need to have a different way of tracing how each ad is doing.

This is possible by using keycodes. For example if you are advertising for people to join your SFI team you might use this link http://www.sfi4.com/XXXXXXXX.1001/FREE where the XXXXXXXX is your own SFI ID number.

Now if you have say 3 ads with this one company you would change the key code in each one to read http://www.sfi4.com/XXXXXXXX.1002/FREE and http://www.sfi4.com/XXXXXXXX.1003/FREE

Now record these numbers in your notebook and you will know at a glance which wording is bringing in the most members. You can then delete the others or change your working to see which works best.

Follow the same procedure with all of the companies you advertise with. Just remember not to use the keycodes which SFI Management use which are 1101 for affiliates from S-Builder, 1104 for PSAs To Go/PSAs won at Auctions, 1200 for affiliates who were not referred to SFI by anyone.
1300 for TripleClicks members via the TC Tell-A-Friend feature.

There are 2 types of results; traffic and conversion, and tracking method depends on where you are placing your ads. You can use Google analytic to track visitors from referrers, including search engines, social networks and direct visits and display advertising.

Another way is to use your website tracking feature like Wordpress that provides web-stat feature to track visitors to your site and numbers of conversions.

I will also recommend you use the SFI hit tracking feature provided in the link below to track the results of your ads because it provide real statistics:

However, it is important to note that the most important statistics we like to see is the conversion which can be tracked by the Keycode you use in your advertisements. Though it is true you can see this in the link provide above, but you can view the signups in you Genealogy to access where most of your signups come from. It is advisable to use different keycodes for different advertisement media, in order to avoid confusing when tracking.

Hello

I like to test everything, gateways, banners, my own blog posts, backlinks, facebook posts, twitter posts, classified ads, traffic exchange sites, safelist emails, and the list goes on and on.

At the beginning I had no idea of how to track and what to track, but then I began seeing that I could and that I should track. It helps me understand many things and also focus on the things that are working better.

My strategy is to use three things, let me explain:

1. A spreadsheet
2. A tracker (you can start with the basic hit tracking that SFI provides and then go for a paid service or a free service like goo.gl)
3. The keycodes SFI offers that so many others have explained, to check the genealogy and update the spreadsheet

On the spreadsheet I have the following columns:
A. Original URL - this is the URL the tracker gives me
B. Gateway where it redirects - this is the end destination
C. Where the URL was posted - i.e Facebook, twitter, blog, etc
D. Time when the URL was posted/published (this may be different in the case of safelists and traffic exchanges)
E. How many impressions did it receive (views for banners)
F. How much did the post or number of impression cost (I give a 0 for free posts,
although my time costs)
G. How many clicks did it receive
H. How much was the cost per click (I give a 0 for free posts, although again my time costs)
I. How many PSAs/PRM did I enroll -or have enrolled to date from this link
J. How many PSAs/PRM are active after two weeks
K. How many PSAs/PRM are active after four weeks

Using the spreadsheet I have found very interesting places to post, interesting times to post and different types of things to say when I post. But you have to be very committed to not repeat hit tracker codes (that's why I use external tracker plus for georeference and IP numbers).

Maintain your spreadsheet up to date, check daily or at least every other day and you will see awesome results. You will learn a lot too!

Use the Hit Tracking section of SFI Power tool section, you should write your results in a text document or create an excel file that allows you to understand which of your adverts you are getting the most hits from, you could also just take notes in a note book.

With the hit tracking, you should also use the Key Code section and you can see which of your gateways is bringing better results and more hits.

The xxxxx should be your affiliate number, the 40 is an example you could use as a reminder for where you have your advert listed. Say 40 is A advertiser
Then choose a different number for another advertising site like 50. 50 is B advertiser

Then in the hit tracking section, you can check your results, especially before the Sunday reset. You will see that A advertiser got more hits and B advertiser got less, based on the numbers you have chosen for each advertiser. Then you would know that you could use advertiser A instead of B.

It's naturally that we want to know where's the best source (or one of the best sources) of new members coming from.That's why SFI made up this power tool,called "key codes".


In short:when you are advertising or putting ads,it's not bad idea to have in mind to track the effect of it.Will it bring you more prospects?Or it won't bring you expected results?This will help you to determinate it.In next example shown you will see how.


You're having ads on different places,e.g. blog,Facebook,Pinterest,safelists or some other free or payed advertising online or offline sites.Then it's OK to put those key codes for each of them.So you can easily track lately where your members are coming from.

How to do it?
When putting your getaway link (the link that will serve to prospects to come and register here,in SFI),after your SFI ID in the link put a dot and then a key code.E.g.:

where "xxxxxxxx" is your SFI ID,and the key code "100" is the code you determined for a certain source (say,from prospects that will come from your blog).


After that,simply check in Genealogy.If someone registers here via one of your getaway links,you will see in Genealogy on the "Basic" tab,last column (far right),"KC" (which stands for "key codes") some numbers.Those are your key codes.And there,by checking their key codes,you will see where the new affiliates are coming from.

Whether you’re using free or paid advertising in marketing SFI, it’s important to know what’s working and what’s not.

In launching your marketing campaign with a solid combination of media such as online classified ads, social media, e-mail, direct mail, etc. you’ll be getting leads and responses coming in just about everywhere. How would you know which of your marketing ads are stellar performers? And which ones need to be refined or replaced?

SFI has provided affiliates an invaluable tool in order to track their marketing responses. Save on your marketing budget by eliminating any non-performing media.

The best way to track your advertising responses is to key each ad with a unique code, so every lead can be identified according to its original source.

Here are three effective ways to make every lead identifiable:

- Use key codes

Use key codes in all your advertising campaign, whether you’re marketing SFI online or offline. Choose your own unique key codes and append it to the end of your SFI Identification number. For example: you’re promoting one of your SFI Gateway links, which features listings of SFI latest enrollments and earners with brief information about TripleClicks and have chosen a unique code 123, your link will appear like this: http://www.sfi4.com/SFIID.123/FREE.

By adding different key codes to your Gateway links, you’ll be able to identify quickly and easily the effectiveness of your marketing efforts.
Do not use the following key codes which are currently reserved for SFI corporate:
1101, 1104, 1200, 1300.

- Provide a URL

If you’re tracking responses from an offline campaign, another method is to provide unique URLs. You can use Lifetime Custom Prestige Domain through your Custom Domain Manager for setting up. You can have multiple versions of your domain name (5 unique custom domains or different URLs) that all point to a designated landing page on your website. Let’s say, respondents to an offline ad campaign about TripleClicks Pricebenders Auction will type a simple URL which is easy to remember, such as auctions3c.com and then be instantly forwarded to your primary site: TripleClicks.com/SFIID/PBWin. Your web logs will show the number of responses.

- Use Hit Tracking

Whether you’re monitoring the results of your online marketing campaign or e-mail ads campaign, you need to employ tracking codes. You can track the web hits to your personal SFI Gateway using Hit Tracking provided by SFI. Use the hit tracking results and performance summaries of your key codes you have incorporated during your advertising campaign to tweak, refine and perfect the details of your marketing campaigns for better results.

First of all let me define what we mean by ads that yields best results. There are three levels of results that we expect when we put ads across the internet.

1. Exposure or Impression - meaning our ads was seen by our prospective affiliates. This will depend on how good we are in positioning our ads across the internet.

2. Hits or Clicks - Meaning our prospective affiliates click on our link or ads. This depends on how good we are in making our ads. Which includes our wordings and images.

3. Sign-Up - This time, our prospective affiliates filled up the form and submit. This depends how good we are in making or using a landing page.

These three should happen before we can say that we are effective in our advertising.

In SFI what we can track are the hits/clicks and the sign-ups. You can find it here https://www.sfimg.com/PowerTools/HitTracking.

But before you can use that tool you need to put a keycode in your gateway link. Keycode is any number you add in your SFI ID found in your link. You put dot (.) between your ID number and your chosen key code.

Example You use gateway http://www.sfi4.com/xxxxxxxx.4000/Real2. xxxxxxxxx is your SFI ID the 4000 is the Key code you assigned.

Every time someone clicks on that link it will be recorded on the Hit tracking page I gave above. everytime the one who clicked signed up you can see it on your genealogy with Key code 4000.

Now, This is important. You must assign different Keycode in all your ads. So to keep track on all your keycodes you must record them in excel.

This is the way I record them in excel.

First column - I put any name of my ads that I can easily recall. Example. PTC 1 - If my ads is put at PTC site.

Second column is the Date when I places my ads.

Third column is the Website name example: Ojooo

Fourth column is the Website URL.

Fifth column is the Gateway link I used.

Sixth Column is the Keycode I used.

Seventh Column is the number of hits

Eighth Column is the number of sign ups

Ninth column is the Date when I counted the number of hits and the number of sign-ups.

By this I exactly know which ads is the most effective.

Note: Do not use these key codes because this is use by SFI.

You can also use a commercial tracking service.

There are many advertising tracking services available both free and paid. You may find a free one that covers your needs, but the ones I have come across have limitations on what you can and cannot do. This ranges from the number of trackers you are allowed to the number you can send the tracked ad too or the number of clicks you are allowed.

Paid systems may also have some restrictions at the lower priced levels, but you would have to go for the one that best meets your needs.
