In my view both options are very essential for an affiliate at SFI. If you have more options, Our work becomes easy. For eg: In a classroom let us assume there are 50 Children, After the whole academic year, in the examination few of them will score distinction, few will be in the range of First and second grade, Few will be just average and few will fail. If yo throw a stone at 100 bunch Mango tree, at least you can expect 5 - 10 mangoes falling.
Hence both options are very essential to achieve your ultimate goal of becoming a wealthy and happy Entrepreneur.

In my opinion, sponsor as much affiliates as possible and give proper guidance to the active ones. Help them to become EA and Team Leaders and encourage them to duplicate this process.
On an average, about 1-2% of affiliates are getting active. Of this small percentage, a few are getting serious about this business. So, sponsoring is a continuous process. Do not limit it to a fixed number. If you stick around a few people and if they suddenly dropout, what should you do?
In Paradise you would have hundreds of active PA's but unfortunately that is not how it works. Having said that - I do not concentrate on recruiting hundreds of affiliates - but I still recruit.
I send team mails to my whole team, but I give that little bit extra time and effort and encouragement to my active team members just to show them their efforts are noticed and to support them and congratulate them when they reach a goal or win a price etc.
I feel everything we have available with SFI and Triple Clicks are important and plays an important role, so don't feel you have to choose - go for it and do whatever you can.

It is unwise to catch too many fish unless there are enough facilities to take care of them. Kill fish you can smoke or store. Getting hundreds of PSAs is not to be preferred to handling a smaller number if EAs and teaching them to develop. Working with a smaller group that is effective yields better and more profitable result than getting so many hands that are not properly trained to work.
It is therefore better to duplicate yourself by getting a fewer and manageable number of EAs properly trained. They will in turn delicate themselves and, a stronger and more compacted network would result.

My Geneology list is 8 pages long, however, 95% affiliates are inactive.
If you prefer a slower pace, then go with a small group of EA's.
Once your EA's are well on their way, you can concentrate on getting more EA's.

I would say teaching a smaller number of Personally Sponsored Affiliate EAs to develop their own downline of EAs is better is that you have a group of PSAs that are actively making you Pay per Action money and helping you to promote and increase your SFI business
However only a small percentage of new PSAs actually become active EAs within SFI, but you can win PSAs and CSAs from Pricebender auctions

The better goal is the latter: Develop small numbers of EAs. It takes less time and is more profitable and residual. Although purchasing several PSA/CSA to go packs initially seems instant and more profitable in terms of numbers you have to depend on the chance that percentage of those numbers go on to be EAs, but rather it is easier to work personally with smaller numbers coaching them along to do what you do and derive affiliate commissions when they develop their own business. The latter is more time-consuming initially but in the long run (vs. hundreds of PSAs/CSAs) is cheaper (you don't have spend money on a co-op unit or pack) and faster to develop .

Here, absolutely the quality matters, not the quantity. If you recruit thousands of affiliates and none of them is active, your time and effort is wasted. But if you could get only a few people who seriously engage in SFI activities and build their downline you will be benefitted more because it is possible to get commissions from upto 12 levels. Your success will depend on producing more and more EAs in your downline. Also when your downline members achieve higher ranks you will be awarded with more and more Versa Points. Therefore, always active members in your downline are required for successful business.
