To come up with good content for your weekly newsletters is not difficult when you read a lot. You have to subscribe to many useful business forums and publications on and offline. That's what I do. As a result I have enough material to write about for a lifetime.

Nonetheless, you should be sure that the material is relevant to your audience. Many SFI affiliates are brand new to marketing online or offline. So you have to give them information that they can digest and understand. Keep your newsletter around 8th grade level. There is no need to impress anyone with how much you know about SFI.

The purpose of your newsletter is to educate and inform your readers so that they can become more profitable at SFI. Accordingly, there are 100s of pages of information inside of the affiliate center. Pick any aspect and expound on it in a fresh and informative way. The objective is to shed more light on the subject. For example you can write about the compensation plan on week and then write about Pricebender auctions the next. There is so much you can write about so be creative and original yet straightforward and brief. Newsletters are good tools to use to encourage activity within your network so I highly recommend them.

Start your newsletter by acknowledging anything your affiliates did well. Congratulate them and encourage them

Keep up to date with everything that is happening with SFI and TripleClicks and make sure you mention it. No need to go into it in depth - the SFI newsletter will do the details.

If your affiliates communicate with you encourage them to ask questions. One person might ask the question but many others might have the same problem but do not ask the question. Answer one question per newsletter - do not bury them with too many topics.

If you do not have affiliate questions to answer take a look at your affiliates VP Ledger - you might see something there that you can use to write about in your newsletters as Tips.

If there are no affiliate questions and nothing you picked up in the VP ledger you can pick a topic a week and discuss it. Example - week 1 you can discuss duplication, week 2 you can discuss advertising and promoting.

You can also include links to SFI lessons and videos they can read or watch to improve their knowledge.

There is also no reason why you can not share something personal with them or even a joke or two - just keep it clean.

Coming up with good content for a weekly newsletter can be a challenge to anyone.

I take note of items I see on Forum, & AskSC, & expand on those ideas.

I also note down what famous inspiring people are being quoted on Stream Post. I go to Google (any search engine will do) & look those people up (ie: Napoleon Hill), & find other appropriate quotes to use.

Additionally, you yourself would have faced challenges (& may still be facing some), similar to those your team are facing. Share your knowledge & learning-curve with them. this shows them that you too are human, & that you have overcome challenges they face, & that will not only show them how to succeed, but give them the reinforcement that they are not the only ones struggling.

It is a good question. Answer to this question will be very good for the new SFI affiliates who are not yet conversant with the nuances of SFI Business. Many affiliates still do not know that they can post a weekly message/newsletter and earn 30 valuable Versa Points.

Now let’s assume that all know about it. One cannot send a weekly message unless he is an EA. So becoming an EA becomes very important to earn these weekly VPs.
The good content is already given in SFI website; you need not search it anywhere else.

1. You can post messages from “Launch Pad” and repeat them as affiliates don’t read even Launch Pad.

2. You can send messages from Rules of SFI, there are 20 rules given there. You can repeat them till they make a dent in your PSAs & CSAs.

3. In Ask_SC, many times you find a very good tips for something or the other, like how to get max VPs, How to maintain your BTL rank etc.
Use these tips to send good weekly messages to your PSAs & CSAs

The content of a weekly newsletter is dynamic, depending on the circumstance. Like I have opined severally, this business is very dynamic and in most cases, you determine what you want to do after you have logged into your homepage. Personally, I have prepared several topics covering various areas of this business; from encouraging inactive team members, reg flagged members of my downline, getting more VP, strategies to earn income, to ways you can hit it right away as a newbie, best recruitment and sales methods etc.

However, in some instances when I predetermine the newsletter to send, I often find out after logging in that something new just came up that needs to be drafted as a newsletter, so the plan changes. An example is the current attack at SFI/TC, making me to change plan to draft an unexpected content as the current newsletter, in order to guide my downline on how to navigate the problem so as to mitigate the damage it may cause to their respective SFI/TC businesses.

Having said this, to be able to come up with good content you get to be knowledgeable on matters relating to this business and how to communicate it effectively. Again since weekly news letters cannot be directed at a specific member, so on a general note you may:

1. Go through several literature in SFI site and you may just copy some that reflect the topic you want. Examples are marketing and sponsoring methods or how to prospect for ECAs.

2. You may also use some of your upline communication or your sponsor's, that is if your sponsor does not go beyond his Gen 1 in his weekly newsletter distribution to avoid duplication.

3. You can also get content at SFI news here: http://news.sfimg.com/ and TC blog here: http://news.tripleclicks.com/

4. The Forum and Ask SC provide very valuable resources that can be tapped for content, so you may need to search through them to extract what suits your message.

There is hardly a topic you want to address in your news letter that is not already here , so do a lot of research here and other online resources to come up with good, appropriate and effective content for you weekly newsletters.

My approach to writing a newsletter here on SFI to my team members employs 2 strategies:

The KISS strategy - Keep It Super Short

and

The REAL strategy - Recurring Experiences Accentuating Learning

I aim to summarize in the most detailed manner ideas that foster duplication but without information redundancy and verbose (that is no unnecessary repetition)

This is done simply by structuring a weekly letter by:

1) Talking about what I have learned in my SFI journey
2) Talking about the latest news (pick up what is new as news.sfimg.com)
3) Talking about a tip or point of reference with no particular focus rather a highlight of an area of the affiliate center (eg. launch-pad, hot-spots, menus, income, reference, marketing, gateways, ledgers, etc. etc. etc. pick any at random)

That's the best way to do it in my opinion.

I would think that it is best to:

1.Address hot topics. Maybe there is a new SFI/TripleClicks offer eg. bid and build. Pique interest in these new topics that your team may have questions about and build their interest in.

2.Address concerns. Maybe you see a team member struggling to earn VP. You can put in your newsletters innovative ways that will help them to earn more eg. playing more TripleClicks games, best items to purchase to gain max. VP etc.

3.Address growth. Growth is presumably what we all want and why we are in the business. It is therefore important to be motivating in your newsletter. Illustrate to your team how best to invest in order to achieve growth.

I find the best way to do my weekly newsletters is to check out the SFI News page to see what has been added or modified this week at SFI. Not all of your affiliates especially the newer ones will read the news thorough because they are still trying to learn the SFI program.

Let them know exactly what's going on right now at SFI and TripleClicks.

I also like to base some of the newsletters around different times of the month.

The first letter of the month for example I remind everyone of the importance of setting up a standing order. I list the benefits of a SO, and tell them how it helps me each month to not worry about attaining EA status.

The last letter of the month i focus on making sure everyone knows their points will be reset soon and to try to achieve their VP goals by the last day of the month.

Here what I do to create an interesting weekly newsletter.
My suggestions are:

See what is new at Tripleclicks and SFI. Every day,during the week, I check on “Alerts” tab - Latest news and on Tripleclicks blog (http://news.tripleclicks.com). This week for example I found a great news: BID AND BUILD PROGRAM = on every 50 bids on auctions you will get 1 free PSA for your team.

Keep contact with every single person of your team, especially the most active ones. From them gets ideas for topics to use in your weekly newsletter. So I write about misunderstandings, problems, tips, uncleared things. These subjects are then useful for all the affiliates of my team.

Incentives and rewards. These are great topics for an interesting newsletter! Inform all your team about contests you decide to starts. I think you cna reward with TCredits your PSAs and CSAs who reach important goals. For example you give 5 TC to all qualified to Executive Affiliate status.

Write about your projects. Are you planning to became Gold Team Leader? Share this project with your downline. You can inspire them to reach new highs.

Always put encouragements in your newsletters and be available to answers any question.

First,see what's new at Tripleclicks and SFI.You can check it easily on "Alerts" tab (under the |Latest news") and on Tripleclicks blog (http://news.tripleclicks.com/).Read it,understand it,pass it over to your downline - along with your short comments.For example,this news now,that on every 50 bids on auctions you will get 1 free PSA,you can say like "See how SFI is improving building of our downlines".


Secondly,you can get idea from communication with your downline.From there you can get LOTS of ideas.That's why communication is VITAL in this business.

Choose some topics that some of your affiliates had objections,misunderstandings or other uncleared things.If some problem bothers one person,it may be that it also bothers another person(s).Take it,read it,understand it,offer the solution.For example,if someone comes up with issue because of blocking his/her getaway on FB,offer the resolving by giving him/her idea to do "shorten-link" (a link that will be shorten and not showing the real address where it leads).


Also,tell your PSAs some of your future plans.How you are planing to help them - maybe by translating all the Launchpad lessons into your native language?Or some other interesting topics (how to become EA,how to become EA2,how to earn more in SFI,etc.).Or maybe creating Forum just for your downline?Or to announce competition for them (e.g. whoever reaches EA2 status will get 1-2-3 PSA from you)?There are probably lots of tips you can share with them!It can serve as motivation to your team.

Point out the milestones (and other positive things) the successful members of your team have made.The ones who made it will be pleased to be highlighted and other will read it and think "Well,if he/she did it,I can do it too!".It can serve as inspiration to your team.


If it's possible,schedule a meeting.There are things called "webinars",they are just like "seminars",only via internet.People gather online and discuss some interesting subjects.


In the end,don't forget to say that they can contact you ANYTIME they have some problems.And that they will have your full support.
