Planning a local get-together for a2a friends is very exciting and fun.

For a simple get-together with your a2a friends who live locally, there's no need for a formal agenda to be prepared beforehand.

Recently, two of my a2a friends organised a get-together, as one of them was visiting from overseas and it was a great opportunity to welcome her back and to personally meet and know each other off-line.

We agreed to meet for lunch at a family-friendly restaurant easily accessible to our visiting a2a friend. The day we met, our Lunch Club was born.

So, it was a very pleasant Getting-to-know-you in person. It was a bit surreal as before we only knew each other online, chat online and interact online, see each other at the Forum. But meeting in person has put a reality to our SFI business. As we waited for our orders, we started exchanging pleasantries, how each came to be in SFI, and talks naturally turned to business. And discovered we all have been involved in one MLM before!

So my suggestions on what to do at the first meeting, just go with the flow. Let nature takes its course so there's no awkwardness or stiffness when discussing business informally.

Make it enjoyable and memorable. If you are meeting for the first time, agree on a suitable venue where it can be easily reached by your friends who live in different parts of the town. You can then suggest a time suitable to all.

Getting-to-know you will be a terrific start. After brief introductions, and while waiting for orders, if you're meeting in a restaurant, go over general topics such as how each has come to be in SFI, backgrounds, family, etc., to put everyone at ease.

This will lead to your topic of the day- whatever it is, and take it from there. Now you have an idea what to take up next time you meet. You may decide to meet at a different venue next time, the time to suit everyone.

The next time you meet, you also have a better understanding of your friends, and you can then prepare an agenda for your future meeting that is of interest to most – like how to create more sales, how to approach people face to face, how to handle rejection, and share each others best practices. You can even suggest each to bring a friend who's not in SFI so your next meeting will be a bit more formal yet friendly.

Firstly, you should feel lucky to have a number of a2a friends near your place, probably in your city.

As the a2a members agreed to attend the get-together, they will all come prepared to discuss and praise SFI.
As the Convener of the meeting, you shall have the first say. In your opening lines, you must point out that the get-together is not for saying good things about SFI, but it is to discuss how you can all co-operate with each other to help and train your downline.

With the expressed permission of all attending members, personal telephone numbers should be collected, copies of which should be made and distributed to all attending members. The members can then send the list to their respective downline, informing that the following listed members are available to them over phone for any emergency help or clarification regarding SFI business.

When you change the direction of the discussion in the beginning, more important points for discussion will automatically come up from other members.

Before closing the get-together, finalise the date of the next meeting.

Firstly, Good to hear your initiative and wish you the best!!

My suggestion would be as below:-

1) Introduction about each members

2) Seek the list of people who want to share their knowledge about SFI business (this can give more insights about SFI that you would not have got by reading articles)

3) Let them share their practical experience in developing SFI business with some examples

4) Also, check new affiliates who can talk about their sponsor and how SFI is helping them to build business

5) You can request tenured and successful SFI affiliates to talk about their journey with SFI and ups and downs in their journey and how they succeeded

6) You can ask everyone to bring their potential customers to the meeting that will help to convert them to PSAs and they are very much charged to fly.. :-)

7) Distribute Gift certificates to motivate people

8) All ways and means to succeed in SFI can be presented to all customers by preparing small, crisp presentation that can help!!

I've actually done this myself, here in Michigan. At (and just before) the meeting, I recommend the following:

1) Bring a large piece of paper with the SFI logo printed on it, so everyone who comes can find the table.

2) Take notes of who attended and where the conversation went--this can be very useful in planning the agenda for the following meeting.

3) Make a list of who has which other skills, from graphic arts to telemarketing to web design because a skill-trade can be positively vital to everyone's success.

4) Take notes of valuable strategies that are being shared. These will help new affiliates out when they join your group, too..

5) Brainstorm ways to promote or to overcome local issues. For example, here in Michigan, we have to overcome the stigmas attached to affiliate marketing related to what the DeVos family did with AmWay. It can be handy to have talking pionts.

6) Elicit information about what each is seeking. This will let you solve each others' problems.

A lot really depends on the skill-sets inherent in your group because you'll be working with unique sets of strengths and weaknesses. Good luck with your group!

Planning a local get together for SFI affiliates in your area is a wonderful idea. It should be carefully coordinated and planned. If possible, you would like to have to cooperation of local team leaders to be present to give their feedback. Platinum team leaders often have large networks and may not be able to break away so don't be disappointed if you can't get any leaders there. Here are some of the most pertinent things to discuss:

1. What our product is and who our customers are?

2. What is the lifetime value of a customer?

3. How much money are you making from your daily activity and how you can improve this?

4. What is your product merchandising strategy to reach your financial goals?

5. What are the best selling products?

6. How to use PPC to drive traffic for product purchases and understand earnings per click?

7. How to create effective sales funnels for product categories?

8. How much traffic are you driving to an offer and how to track effectively for performance?

9. Who are your top ten affiliates and how do you reward them?

10. Which advertising sources provide the best quality traffic and what is the break even analysis on this advertising?

There are many other pertinent concerns that can be addressed by these will be enough to last for 10 get togethers!

First Congrats for your new, active and encouraging new aspect to plan a local get-together for A2A affiliates. At the end, come out with great ideas with flying colors. My best wishes for the Get-together.

My suggestion for the meeting would be:

Fix up a Good Agenda for the meeting, which may include these

a. Make out a good title - My suggestion - "How to make out profitable SFI business"
b. Introduction - Program organizer can give a brief intro about himself, about program and make each affiliate intro. each other.
c. Share of thoughts - Each Affiliate can share their Success with SFI so far.
d. Lecture of Expert - An expert in Online Marketing field can be invited to give a brief lecture about Online Marketing and procedures.
e. Opinion of SFI's Great leader - An SFI great leader (may be a PTL) could be invited to share his thoughts about SFI and his/her Success with it.
d. Discussion on advantage/disadvantage of SFI - One and One discussion - One affiliate to one affiliate can be divided and they can have this discussion and notes can be made on their thoughts (advantages and disadvantages of SFI)
e. General opinion of the held discussion - Vote can be taken out related to the above mentioned discussion to get a right strategy. The leader (PTL) can give a brief lecture to correct their thoughts and give a apt solution.
f. Next work procedure review : So, at the conclusion, each affiliate can give an open conclusion of "How to proceed further in SFI - their own thoughts"
d. Conclusion : The program organizer can give a list of final conclusion of the procedure to be followed by each affiliate in their SFI business to lead it to Success.

This get-together can also include the general items like
1. Refreshing drinks
2. Lunch
3. Evening snacks

You have to plan the timing and send out Agenda in prior to all the A2A affiliates who were invited by you. To plan these Agenda, you can use Templates that are embedded in Microsoft office for this purpose. A neat, clear and simple Agenda works out well.

All the about mentioned Agenda procedures has to be strict with the time limit. You can allocate individual procedure with the appropriate time limit.

I wish a happy and good Get-together and when you finish this, please share the final thoughts you have gained from it in SFI Forum so that all affiliates in SFI can get benefit from it.

Now that is different – a meeting with A2A affiliates. That would be good if you can get enough affiliates to participate.

One of the main things that must be carefully monitored would be in bringing up subjects that can be considered “cross soliciting.” With you being the one to put the meeting together it would be expected that you would also pay attention and be strong enough to stop any kind of “soliciting.”

SFI and TripleClicks are so vast in services and system building methods for a personal home business that any and all subjects would be good to cover.

I would think that your meeting would go so much better if all who were to participate knew in advance what the schedule of events would be and the topics that would be covered.

If I were to plan the meeting this is somewhat of a breakdown of how I would plan it.

1. Meeting time 7:PM
2. Each A2Awill have a chance to introduce yourself to the other members. Say 5 to 10 minutes.
3. Suggested Topics to cover:
a. Sponsoring
b. Training
c. Motivation
d. Sales and Commissions
4. At the end of the meeting for those who want to socialize have small snacks, coffee or whatever.

Keep the meeting as short as possible but still enough time to thoroughly cover desired topics. I would say somewhere around 60 to 90 minutes. There is a tendency to keep a meeting going as long as you can but this will prevent people from ever coming to another one of your meetings.

I know about keeping the time of the meeting short because I held several business meetings on a weekly basis for a couple of years. 60 minutes seemed to be the magic amount of time – 90 minutes if everyone is pumped up.

All that I have shared with you is if your meeting were to be a “business” meeting – There are several types of meetings that you can plan for – such as a

“Fellowship meeting” designed just to make friends and gain solid relationships.
“Recognition meetings” for acknowledging advances in SFI or TripleClicks.
“ECA meeting” – covering the basics and more advanced selling techniques.
“Advertising – covering blogs, websites, free ads and paid ads.

It is good to know that someone is planning such a meeting I wish you and all who participate a very successful meeting.

That is great you are able to get a group together. Here is what I would make sure to do.

1. Everybody bring their laptop or devices
2. Find a location that has wi-fi and the atmosphere is condusive to a meeting
3. Make sure everyone can login to SFI so you can always refer to guidlines and enter T-time while you are there :)
4. Have everyone bring questions already written down and go through the most common ones first
5. Brainstorm more questions
6. Talk about and set goals as a group and individually
7. Talk about accomplishments already acheived and how you reached them.
8. Find a good youtube SFI training video you can all watch
9. Plan your next meeting

Thanks for this question because I am also planning to have this kind of get together. In the planning stage I ask the this very important question. What will benefit all of us who will attend?

Here's what I came up that I would like to share with you.

1. This event should be a time for all of us to recruit new affiliates.

a. So we will invite our prospective affiliates.
b. We will have SFI presentation.
c. And each member will assist the persons they invite to sign up.

2. Each one of us will bring with us our questions to ask during the event. Since I am the most advance in our place I told them that I will try to answers their questions. Other members can also give their ideas.

3. We plan to talk about being an ECA and sell things that we are using daily and buy them from each other.

The rest of the time would be for socialization. A time to build friendships and talk about possible projects.

We plan to hold it in restaurant and each one buy his own food.

When you decided you plan the get-together you must've had a reason for doing so. Did you do it just to get to know them? Do you want it to be a social gathering? Do you want it to be a learning / teaching event?

If it is a get to know each other social event - keep it that way. Have you ever been invited to a party and then get there only to realize it was just a scam to get you to attend? It is disappointing and irritating.

Maybe you can let them know beforehand what your goal is - social, business, workshop etc. That way they will know what to expect and they can prepare for it.

You can do it as a workshop where you brainstorm to identify problems you experience and find solutions to them.

You can have some of your successful affiliates lead a session where they share their secrets and tips for success with the rest of you.

It can be just a team building exercise - a strong team means more success for everybody involved. Team building can provide a support system to the team, motivate and encourage. It is a lot easier to give up and walk away if you do not have a person or persons to think about. If you know your team you also feel a responsibility to them and it makes you try harder. It is also very helpful when you are having a tough time if there is a team to encourage you.
