The reason an affiliate who logs in after a long period of activity could be very different.

No matter what the reason, I would definitely want to contact this affiliate and encourage them to continue with my support. Show you care first.

Assume they are still very interested in SFI. It is more than likely that they are. Talk about all the new positive changes and ways to earn by taking advantage of them. Find out what interests them and what their goals are.

Offer to help them in any way possible. Leave your contact information and leadership page information if you are a Team Leader. If you are not a Team Leader, contact your upline Team Leader to help with specific ideas and encourage your newly interested affiliate to do the same.

Your affiliate can find contact information for all their Upline sponsors from the bottom of their Stream Page.

There are so many reasons why affiliates are inactive in SFI, so when an affiliate return to SFI, you should as a matter of urgency welcome them back. It is an answer to your prayers and it also shows that such affiliates have been reading your team mails or something else brought the spark again.

Congratulate him/her and send a welcome E-card. Update the affiliate with the latest news SFI and let them know that it would be in their best interest to remain active henceforth.

Add few tips on what such affiliate should be doing to remain active.

You should definitely welcome that affiliate back with joy and surprise!

Just say that you welcome him/her back and offer your assistance when they need it. Explain that there have been many changes since the last time the affiliate logged in. Be patient and help him/hher start at the beginning again, if needed. Just encourage the affiliate to take whatever time is necessary to learn how to use all the new tools here and to get acquainted with the new affiliates who have joined during the time he/she was absent.

Do not judge the person or the reason why the long absence occurred. Do not bring up the subject. If the affiliate does bring up the subject, just encourage him/her by saying that you are glad things have been resolved and that you are there to help in any way possible and that you look forward to working with that affiliate.

You should welcome him or her just like any new affiliate. But remember to thank him or her for coming back, for giving SFI a second chance and with your help, he or she will discover that SFI will be all he or she needs.

Remind him or her that SFI is free. And the various income streams with SFI which he or she can choose to focus on.

Whatever you say, try not to sound like a reprimand for being away for so long. After all the past is the past and you do not know what has been happening in his or her life. What's important is today onwards you will help him or her to understand SFI and to succeed.

You must really, really, really acknowledge that. You must celebrate.
Most people learn the hard way. For your affiliate to come back after a long time, means that something brought him or her back. What brought him/her back will make him/her stay. So that affiliate will be one of your strongest affiliates because he/she learnt his/her lesson.
You just let the bygone be the bygone. You just welcome him/her back and start encouraging and motivating. Help him/her to catch up where he/she is lacking behind.

The elaborated first question would be like this:
When an inactive affiliate log in after a long period, should I acknowledge them or not?

The best answer for the first question is:

YES, Surely acknowledge the affiliate. Since, the reentry of your inactive affiliate would add up a great value to your leadership status, business and commission.

If the affiliate, actively start up works again in SFI, you are in a great chance to get the affiliate's matching vp as well as, get a real chance of earning Direct Commission from his/her purchase. So, always welcome and acknowledge the affiliate who are inactive and are reentering into your team.

The best answer for the second question is:

Just say to them, "Hi Friend! I'm glad that you have started your work again in SFI and I'm glad to welcome you back to our team. Let's together develop our business with SFI. Never hesitate to contact me and I assure my best support always and guidance to clarify all your doubts. Leave the past behind, take a deep breathe and lets start up again. I'm there always with you to proceed."

To add to their benefits:

1. Ask them to login SFI daily and review the new and innovative changes in SFI (since, there might be lot of changes in SFI when they were out in the past)
2. Ask them to study the START, SFI BASICS, LAUNCH PAD and other training tutorials, one by one (Treat them as new affiliate since they are restarting again. Let them feel the fresh start - Never ignore them at any point of time in answering their doubts)
3. Ask them to review their vp ledger once again and find their left over vps and assist them to finish it off and earn vps.
3. Ask them to review the To-do-list and daily actions, guide them in daily tasks.
4. Ask them to review new option in it like :"Survey responses". Let them do with their own interest and mind set (never spoon feed any affiliate - show the way, let them cross over by themselves)
5. Ask them to review the auctions and games. There might be lot of changes in there after they have left SFI in the past.
6. Ask them to try each games and if possible provide them with rewards like TCredits for them to try the new games and auctions.
7. Ask them to make up team under them (This is THE MOST IMPORTANT accept),explain about sponsoring, canvassing and duplication and all the benefit they get from Sponsoring.
8. Ask them to review TripleClicks each day and make some advertisement about the products.
9. Ask them to make up some purchases and sales and explain why that is beneficial to them.
10. Ask them to sell their old good condition stuffs and to form their own ECA store in TripleClicks and explain them how it earn them more commission.

1. The more encouragive you are to them the more energetic they will be doing their work in SFI.
2. The most important factor is never let them go again from your team.

Yes, really, logging in especially after a long recess is a sign of either having regained motivation or of having resolved some issue(s) that caused a hindrance. You may send a "Welcome" e-card to show that you still welcome him or her. Another "Tips" or "Help" card will also do. Thereafter keep on motivating the affiliate to build their business. What is key is to remember that the affiliate's long absence is not necessarily a sign of laziness but may hint on some other personal aspect, and hopefully they may share with you along the way, thus affording you an opportunity to help solve it too.

I would like to assume the following instances:

1. We misplaced a reasonably valuable item within the house-Unable to find it-Suddenly
discovered it after few weeks/months.

2. A close friend left our home town & settled down in another far off place. We lost
the paper he gave before his departure that contained his address, phone number, etc. We traced it back after few weeks/months.

3. A child in a Family kept scoring low marks despite extra coaching, etc. Suddenly after few months the same child started scoring very good marks continuously/consistently;

In instances like these, what will be our reaction??

Lot of Happiness, Joy, Satisfaction, etc. Isn't it??

We keep encouraging/motivating/inspiring our Team Members regularly by all available modes of communication. Still, some of them remains inactive. We can't give up or write them off.

When one day that person becomes very active, we have every reason to rejoice!!!

We know patience, perseverance and duplication are key factors to succeed in SFI Business.

We can send appropriate E-Cards expressing our joy and hope. We can follow it with a very warm and encouraging message through mail expressing our fullest support and cooperation so he/she too will grow and succeed.

If possible, we can speak to that person over phone. This will help a lot for that person to continue in SFI Business.

Most definitely you should acknowledge your PSA logging back in.
I'm sure their logging back is due to the fact of all the regular weekly team mail emails that you been sending out on a weekly basis. That's why it is so important to send out team mail every week to ALL down-line members, active or non-active.
So firstly send them a welcome back e-card offering help and assistance. Be there for them giving tips and informing telling them about what they been missing out on and on the latest updates that's been happening.
Work with them, be there for them.

Great Question.
It is always nice to see friends and family that we have not seen or heard from for some time. So, in my opinion, an affiliate who has been inactive for some time, now logging on, would be a joy. It would be my pleasure to welcome back this affiliate and express my appreciation and joy in his/her return to the SFI family. Most human beings like knowing that they were missed and that persons are happy to see them again after a long time. This acknowledgement would let the Affiliate know that they are special to SFI and a part of the SFI family. Now isn't this what we all want? i.e. to be acknowledged and to be seen as a part of the family.
