It's a good thing that you have ambitious PSAs.

You should encourage any of your PSA that wants to become Team Leader right away. I don't see anything wrong with that, in fact new affiliates need all the encouragement they can get. The word "Discouragement" in any form should be deleted from your dictionary.

I attained Silver Team Leader in my first month with SFI, the second month I dropped to Bronze Team Leader but right now I am an EA2. With this experience I have been able to learn how Matching Versapoints works and the earning potentials. I also got my $10 Bronze bonus and a shares of second home CSAs for two months.

Bottom line, encourage those PSAs that want to become TL right away but take your time to explain to them the benefits, requirements and responsibilities. It is better to aim for the TL and end up as EA2 rather than to aim for EA and end up as inactive affiliates.

that's a question for which there is no set answer.

What you need to do as a Team Leader is establish the needs of those affiliates that you bring in, understant what they are trying to achieve from their membership and support them in every way that you can.

Just like in the real world, very few people really want to be in a Team Leader position because it comes with a lot of additional responsibilities which most people would never actually want to take on.

As their sponsor it's your position to be making them fully aware of the benefits that can come to them if they fully apply themselves to making SFI work to it's fullest extent, and with that it does require an element of encouraging them to become Team Leaders, but my first priority would be to first encourage them to build their own team of active affiliates so that when/if they do reach Team Leader they will be able to maintain that position for the long term and not become discontented if they reach it one month and never achieve it again

I would encourage, rather than discourage, my PSAs who want to become Team Leader right away.

This doesn’t mean my PSAs should go for Team Leader rank before they are ready and have built a team, but I would give them all the help, guidance and motivation I could give within my power.

So, for PSAs who are go-getters, resourceful, and have the means and capability to become Team Leaders right away, then by all means help and encourage them by-

. Setting up a Standing Order of 125 TCredit Pack for the 1500 VP needed to ensure they keep their EA rank every month.

. Suggest buying a share of S-Builder Co-op as well as PSAs To Go for building a team quickly, as well as sponsoring people they know.

. Utilizing the marketing tools and aids found in Marketing Center for promoting TripleClicks programs and products to get TC customers and PRMs for generating sales.

. Encouraging participation in the Forum to get to know other Affiliates as well as share tips/hints in business building and learn from them.

. Encouraging them to submit answers to Ask SC to enhance their writing and communication skills as well as making their presence known among the SFI community, and at the same time earn valuable unlimited VPs and Top Author Badge for their effort.

. Encouraging them to check the SFI Compensation Plan, and play with the Income Calculator to see how much they could earn by having an active team of hardworking EAs.

When they’re ready, which can happen in their second month when they become Team Leaders, then they can understand how the benefits work when they start to share in the TC Executive Pool, especially the VP Matching which is the jewel in the SFI/TC Executive Pool crown.

NO. You should not encourage nor discourage them. As Sponsor o Co-Sponsor our role was to guide, assist and help them achieve their GOALS. Just lead them. Show them ways, ideas, information and tips on how to reach their short (monthly) and long-term goals.

If the aim to become Team Leaders right away, be it. Explain to them the PRO's and CON's of being a Team Leader at the same time give them tips on how to become a Team Leader. Like for example the following;
- Setting an Standing Order of at least 1500VP
- Performing his Daily, Weekly and Monthly actions
- Participating on SFI Daily Grand Draw
- Be active on TripleClicks promoting products, referring ECA's, bidding at Auctions, playing games, and product listing.

Bronze Team Leader rank like Executive Affiliate was achievable on your first month and hard to retain the following month, but if your really determined to reach it....it is doable. As the saying goes "If there's well, there's a way".

I believe that every PSA is a unique individual, and a lot of being a successful team leader comes from understanding the nature of an affiliate program and what they're doing within it. I *accidentally* reached BTL within my first month and then pretty much stayed there ever since, mostly because I've stayed as active as I have, I've been curious about the various TC Direct products, and I've been exploring what can be done within SFI and TripleClicks. As a result, it's very easy to stay at BTL point-levels, but there's a difference between acquiring points and building a team.

The biggest question is whether or not your PSAs are ready for everything an affiliate program can mean, including the high attrition factors caused by people who signed up as part of a "pay-to-enroll" program or otherwise had no real intention to follow through. There are other questions, too, like "Do they understand everything you understand about SFI and TripleClicks yet?"--that's pretty much required for real *duplication*.

I'm generally tempted to suggest a PSA an Executive Affiliate for the first two months and start setting him or herself up on TripleClicks with a few products and promoting his or her own store. That way, they can build up PRMs and some income to also build confidence so that building a downline will also come easier because they believe in how SFI works.

You may choose to encourage them if they have the potentials to consistently maintain a TL status. The major potential is if they have an active team in order to earn a good amount of Support VP to make them team leaders. Obviously, as the name team leader implies; it means you have a team.

Conversely, you may need to discourage those without an active team to becomes TLs because they may end up 'buying' their team leader status without an active team which may be unsustainable on the medium or long term. You need not be selfish by encouraging this category of your team members because of the commission you may earn from it, but there is need for you to be upright and discourage them, in order for you to benefit on the long run.

However, irrespective of your good intentions, some of them will do it their own way and disregard your advice, but remember that you have conscientiously given your best advice and you cannot do more than your best.

If we start from the fact that every new affiliate can reach TL status, as follows:

- Based on the VP earned through tasks, which are available in the first month, and often in the second month

- With a minimum investment (for example, by buying a package of 50 TCredits that will take advantage of the auctions and so earn MRP, which can be exchanged for TCredits)

- With commitment and dedication to this job

This is completely all right. For the lowest TL status (Bronze TL), it is necessary to reach 1500 or 2000 Sales VP and 1000 or 1500 Action VP.

Of course, TCredits needed to achieve the Sales VP, you can earn up to countless ways, not just shopping. By participating in the sweepstakes at TripleClicks and SFI, prize competitions and the like.

Furthermore, it all depends on the affiliate. Having in mind that every new month starts from zero, and there is no help in the form of a variety of tasks (for which you get VP) that you had in the first month of building a team, from which they derive significant points. The bigger downline that works, so much easier.

But! What if you do not directly included PSA that work?

I think that this encouragement should be cautious and you have to recognize the quality that your PSA has. Or not have.

Mary, unfortunate your question cannot be given a yes or no answer.

The reason for this is because we sign up as affiliates all sorts of people. Some are keen to get on with it, others just want the quick dollar, others are hesitant, many do not have the money to grow their business, and many just signed up out of curiosity.

The most common comment by Team Leaders is the large number of inactive affiliates on their teams. So if someone comes along that is full of enthusiasm I say welcome him with open arms. If he wants to be Team Leader support him. I would personally not encourage or discourage him but I would certainly support his efforts. I would try and channel that enthusiasm.

I would certainly discuss with him the pros and cons of going straight for Team leader level this early in SFI. The decision is of course always his.

Some team leaders say that there is no point to being a team leader if you do not have a team to lead and I agree. But if my new affiliate becomes a new team leader, he will receive from SFI a share of the Second Home CSAs. That’s the beginning of his team.

His enthusiasm will mean extra work for me as I would have to keep a close eye on him and help him sponsor those CSA and encourage him to obtain PSA for himself. I will gladly do that.

I also believe that sponsoring CSA can be easier if they have good sponsors and can be an easier way for the new team leader to learn how to sponsor.

So while I would not encourage him to be a team leader I would certainly not discourage him. Never kill enthusiasm - cultivate and channel it.

There are two categories of PSA’S who endeavor to become Team Leaders right away:

THE ENTHUSIAST – with no existing network.

These PSA’s find the challenge of moving up the ranks irresistible. They are enthusiastic and want to achieve – and they can through VP and TripleClicks in their first month. BUT, it soon becomes apparent that they have not applied themselves to SFI training and guidance and do not have an existing network. Soon they will find that they cannot maintain their Team Leader status.

THE KICKER, SHAKER AND MOVER – with an existing network.

These PSA’s in all probability have an existing network over whom they already have an influence and are able to recruit PSA’s who will duplicate as they are asked. Moving up the ranks for them is a natural progression as they are experienced and have probably been/ or are, involved in another affiliate program.

If you see that your newly recruited PSA is moving too FAST, the first thing to do is establish from the PSA immediately if they do have an existing network. If they do, you’re okay – congrats and good luck.

If your PSA does not have an existing network, the best thing to do is to explain that they need to use a strategy so that they can maintain their position in SFI and read and learn a bit more to get to grips with the program and how SFI actually works.

Refer them to the TODO list and explain what attaining BTL and upward actually implies.

Remind them that they are in this game for the long haul and that there is no quick gratification to expect, BUT do encourage them to recruit their own PSA’s and to keep doing this because the more people under them that attain EA2 and above the easier it will become for them to climb in rank.

To answer your question, you need to consider when it is advisable for a PSA to become a Team Leader in regards to duplication, in building a team to solidify the growth of your SFI business.

When to advise or encourage your PSAs to become Team Leaders:

- Knowing your PSAs.

It takes time for new affiliates to learn and understand how to venture SFI. As their Team Leader, you’ll need to guide and support them. It will mean employing your good communication skills, being patient and persistent in training and giving your full support constantly. If you establish close relationship with your affiliates, you’re going to know and identify through their actions, who is ready to take responsibility to become a Team Leader. Encouraging your PSAs to become Team Leaders without understanding the core of SFI is disastrous. It’s possible to become BTL without a team, by making the majority of your VP requirements through sales, but will your PSAs profit from this?

- Identifying your PSAs

Do you know which of your PSAs has the employee mentality or the business owner mentality? An employee mentality needs to be told what to do, while a business owner mentality takes ownership of his/her SFI business. Those who have the business owner mentality are ready to take responsibility to become Team Leaders. You can identify them through their dealings with you as their Team Leader and how they conduct their own SFI business. Those who have the employee mentality will need extra time to emphasize to them that SFI is their own business and they are not dependent on anybody else.

Now that I have mentioned above the important points to consider when to encourage your PSAs to become Team Leaders, you can make the right decision and you’re on your way in building your team with a solid foundation.
