You can take a wild guess and hope you are lucky or you can take some time and look back on the history of the specific product you want to predict the price on.
A number of factors might play a role in how high or how low a price will go. The time of the day - certain times the net is just more active and there are more people playing and bidding - so they will chase the price up.
The product itself will also have an influence - the more popular items would reach a higher price because people want it - even if they pay a higher price they will still pay less than the normal retail price. A saving is a saving.
The auto bidder option might also chase the price higher than an auction where there is no auto bidder.
The Big dog auctions are more likely to go higher as well.
Hope you can find / work out some formula for yourself to determine what might happen - but after all that - it is not an exact science and you might find with all the factors taken into consideration it might still surprise you.

When I first started, I just picked a number at random. I've won a few times using this strategy.
Then I decided to try and be a bit more scientific about it. I looked at the historical data, looked at the time of the auction and chose either exactly the same value or just around similar values. I've also won using this strategy.
Then I got bored and decided to have fun again. So this time I looked at the historical data, ignored the time for the auction but looked at the type of auction. I chose the first, second and third number from the previous wins and combined them together to get a new number. I've won too using this strategy.
I know that it is wonderful to win each and every time you play PTP, but that is not logically possible. Unless you have powers to see into the future. But while you're at it, just have fun choosing the winning price.

I honestly don't think there is a best way.

My Tip is quick and simple I check what prizes other items for the day have been won at.
Make sure you are logged into Triple Clicks then above click Auctions.
At the left click the link Latest Winners to view the most recent wins.
I then take a guess from there.
If something has gone for a very high price I tend to keep around the same price range.
If a lot of items are going cheap I keep my guess cheap as I reckon there are not many members on line participating as we have all different time zones.
It really is quite interesting.

Hallo
i am glad to get in touch and help you on this issue.Pick the price game is one of my favorite and i know it takes time to actually guess something close to the main answer.
But while playing you have to take time and study the game. You have to realize that even the time of the day is very important because depending on the time you might know how many people are going to predict which i may say is not necessarily easy but it might help you to predict.
Then before you start playing first check out history of previous players and winners and this will be of great help because it shows you how much this product is always purchased at and i know this is so important.
Above all important to read are the tips given at the page because they are meant to guide and help you understand the game.
Lastly have faith in your instinct follow what you think and don't stop trying perfect comes with time.
Thank you so much

the best way I've found and the strategy I always use is S.I.N.A.L.O.A. Which Stands for; Safety In Numbers And Law Of Averages.
I look at the price history of the items I'm guessing, then average the last 10 winning bids of said item. whatever that average is, thats the price I chose, give or take a dollar or two
When I play pick the price I guess ten to thirty auctions, this is my strategy and it has worked for me several times
I hope this may help you, remember the more you play the greater your chances to win. Keep trying

Well since I won 18 times I may be qualified to answer this one from my own experience.
I start with several 8x10 lines papers.I make a page titled for the most offered products.
One page is Miscellaneous products.
I draw vertical lines and make a little box for these categories: Time of day, cost to buy this product, final price at auction. The hours are in groups of 3 hrs.Lowest and highest prices go in the box with pencil.
As we get more and more members, these prices should change a bit.Keep in mind that Tripleclicks says it will not have us pay more than 75% of the auctioned product"s worth.
Also the new games draw people away from the auctions. Both auctions and games keep our stores in profit.

1st- Check the auction item. Typically Electronic gadgets carry a slightly bigger price tag.
2nd- Check the trend by viewing historical prices for the item.
3rd- Check the bid type. If it is a 1WA item then it could go fairly cheap. If it's a DP item it could go up to much higher prices.
4th- Time when the auction starts can determine the price. For instance a Silver or gold auction during the subcontinent time zone could go fairly cheap. Whereas the same item could rake prices when US and canada opens for bidding.
In a nutshell: Type of auction item, past trend, category of bid and timing of the auction will determine the best pick up price.

Pick the Price game involves estimating the final bidding price of one of the TripleClicks items from an online auction. Firstly, I would advice you to check the price history. If the numbers in the price history offer a close range in the item's value, it is preferred to pick the mode value- what is more likely a common estimate. If the prices have a large range, then the most probable estimate would be a few degrees in value above the numbers within the bunch of prices that has the closest range. Which means you could figure out how many numbers are similar and compare those similar prices and then conjure a mean estimate. By sorting out the most suitable number from the set of prices given in previous auctions withion the price history, you can decide on a more comfortable price. However, it solely depends on the bidders and their demand for the product to determine what will be the auction's final price.Yet, choosing a final price could revolve about going with a gut feeling based on your price judgement from previous auctions that you have viewed. That's about all that I can say about picking a final price.

Prediction of the final price is indeed a guess work by any means. Any auction for that matter, in itself is a luck by chance for the winning bidder because it depends on so many factors. For example, each auction primarily depends on the number of competitors. Some auctions have closed even at 0.01 and many within 0.10. The number of competitors again depends on time, day etc., in different countries as SFI has affiliates worldwide.
Secondly the price factor, in all SFI auction ads for example it says the winner saved around 90%.
Thirdly the type of auction as there are different catagories of auction and there are
rules for participation for example Junior Auction, Big Dog Auction and so on.
Last but not least the real experience in bidding, winning and of course reviewing
the winners list for winning prices.
