Is it wise to 'bribe' your downline with Gift Certificates, TCredits or other incentives? Or does this practice come back and bite you?

In all due respect, if I were in your downline and you gave me an incentive, after reading your question, I would kindly return it. Our downline are not an inconvenience or burden to us...
If you were manager in a local office and your Sales Reps did well you would take them to lunch or even give them a pat on the back. If one of your Sales Reps was working hard but struggling you would also want to help them. It is not, in my opinion a bribe but motivation.
A good rule for motivation is to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. How would you like, not how they do, for your upline to treat you?

It is not advised to bribe them, No!. This means you wouldn't be rewarding inactive, lazy affiliates or those with no time for SFI. You reach out to those ones with motivating words through newsletters and eCards.
You will give your gift certificates and TCredits to reward those who are working hard towards their goals or when they reach a milestone by being active.

I don't think in SFI you can 'bribe' anybody with anything.
They are in SFI for their own reason, whether it is to make money or have a hobby or a work from home business.
You can reward then when they have done well or you can have a competition.
to use 'Bribing' you need to give them much more than just a $12 gift.
Have fun with your down line in the line of competitions.

It is well to give it a try for a month, two or three, but if you see this does not help your potential PSA to become active and contribute from himself, you should consequently cease doing this. However, if you have enough financial resources to continue to offer your help, I do not think this can cause harm to a PSA or ECA of yours in need.

First we should know the difference between bribe and Gift.
Bribe is given to someone to complete any work in un-ethical manner by bypassing Rules and regulations.
Gift is a thing to share our happiness with our friends and other associates.
Here we are not bribing anybody. It is a part of encouragement.
So, it is better not to use such kind of negative words for this wonderful programme.

considering the time you're in SFI, I take your question as a provocation.
Recognizing a prize to those who are actively working, I would not call it "to bribe", corruption is something else.
We all know that it is not easy as it seems to be gaining in SFI, and then encourage to stay active I do not think it is negative.
I consider useful to receive evidence of real gains made by affiliates of long standing, like you.

I dont think "bribe' is proper to say when you just want to reward those who did a very good job.
It is just right to appreciate their job to let them feel that you also value them as a part of your team.
And also important in a team to have such leader who will guide them to do the right thing in business like SFI.
Bribery is not really applicable in SFI business.
It is not easy, but your question leads us to think that we must be very careful with this practice. Vouchers, TCredits and other incentives must be carefully measured and sorted into the hands of people we know and where we have a minimum of trust. And 'how to sow a field and treat him day after day, if we spent our forces well, sooner or later the results will come, but if we manured evil, the land becomes barren, and it will be difficult to revive it. I always try to put myself to others position. I would be very clad if my sponsor reward me for something that I have done well. I think that in this way you show that you really care. Acts no words.
And sometimes it could be a negative, of course, but in the end, only workers stay.
That is just my personal opinion.
