YES, it is not only worthwhile to send individual welcome letters to new PSAs, it is the very best thing to do. Group mailings through the Mailer always go to everyone down the line in your downline, be they PSAs or CSAs or to the two groups separately depending on who you want to communicate with. You would not want to send a message meant for an individual to so many people. Would you? That is why group mailings can not serve the purpose of welcoming new PSAs. It may even look ridiculous to keep sending welcome letters to PSAs you have welcomed before.

Individual letters to new PSAs always give the “personal touch” which is very effective in putting new PSAs at ease. One of the biggest cravings of the human species is to be recognized. That is exactly what individual welcome letters manage to do to new PSAs. That is why they are very worthwhile to use and very effective too.

In my opinion – yes, absolutely.

I used to send a ready-made, and rather long welcome letter to all new PSAs, packed with information how to get started, what to expect, etc. It actually contained no personal info and sounded more like a textbook. I realized that very few affiliates actually responded to the mail. Now I believe that most of them didn’t even bother to read it.

Then I changed my approach and now I write totally personal and brief welcome letters to each new affiliate. I write them ‘on the spur of the moment’, introduce myself briefly and make reference to affiliate’s country or what he/she already did on VP ledger, in order to show that I’m a real person and am going to treat the affiliate as a real person. My mails are spontaneous and joyful and produce much better results. I think that people feel encouraged by the fact that you are real and pay attention to them. The only facts about business I include in the welcome mail are: to go for Fast Track within 24h and my personal contact details, including Facebook address.

I think that welcome e-cards provided by SFI are great, but they often go to spam section and new affiliates just don’t see them, so I don’t use them for welcome letters anymore.

Of course, when you don’t have time to write personal e-mails, go for team mail – it’s better than nothing, but then try to show up as a real person on the next convenient occasion.

That is a great question, and I can say with absolute conviction that it is best to send Individual Welcome Letters for each and every PSA you get. Doing it in this manner makes the PSA appreciate that their Sponsor appreciates them joining the team and encourages the PSA to work.

My Sponsor did this with me and also gave me several follow up emails that kept me going, encouraging me, and giving advise on how they managed to get to their place in rank and a great Team Leader.

I have since followed my Sponsors way with my downline (team) and it does work. I have set up several letters that I use and with the E Card method I send each PSA a message from Welcome to Follow Ups.

It is in our Human Nature to want to be treated differently and not in a group or class.

I think it will be very good to send an individual welcome letter to new PSAs.

It is just like one newly employed in an organisation and is given letter of employment or someone that has just gained admission and is given a letter of admission.

It gladdens the heart when one sees a letter personally addressed by his/her sponsor or boss. This shows that you are highly welcomed.

It shows you are a good leader who knows his/her subordinates by name.
It gives them the sense of belonging
It shows closeness right from the on-set.
It shows that you are the communicable type.
It gives one the confidence and assurance that they are in the right place.
It shows that you are not generalizing but being specific
It makes one fell at home.

I also think it would be best if there is a format/tool that can authomatically fix in the names individually while sending the mails incase they are too many at a time.

This will be very useful, quicker and also save time.

Hi Jovan! It depends. How many new affiliates did you get today? One? Ten? 50? 1679?

Personally, I've sent individual emails to 23 new affiliates on one day. That was my welcome letter, and it is the same for each new affiliate. Then I noted my action on the Affiliate Manager, Notes tab (found on the affiliate snapshot). I also completed the Start section, and marked my welcome letter as sent.

That process takes some time. If you do SFI after you have worked your primary job, taken care of your children, the house, your spouse, and whatever else you day entails, you may be pressed for time to devote to all those letters and record keeping.

Furthermore, even if you work full time at SFI, do you really think you can do 1679 welcome letters to your new affiliates, and note it on your Affiliate Manager, plus your advertising, plus help your affiliates that have asked for help, and do your To-Do List, all today? This is a duplicate-able business, or should be. If you have more than a few new affiliates each day, sending individual welcome letters, I believe, isn't feasible.

Here is what I now suggest. Go to your genealogy and use the filter to select only the new affiliates that joined today, copy your welcome letter, be sure to use ~FIRSTNAME~ so the system inserts their first name into the welcome letter, and read it again to catch any errors (and correct them), and send the letter. ALL of your new affiliates will get an email that addresses them by name, and includes of the information that you believe they need at this time.

Then note on the Affiliate Snapshot, at Start, that you have sent the welcome email. Note the date you sent it on Notes, and save your notes. The pencil will turn green on Genealogy when you have a note. That way you know you sent the welcome letter by looking at your Genealogy.

When they answer your email, it is time to give personal attention to your new affiliate. Take all the time you and your new affiliate need to take. While this is a simple business, it takes time to learn to work it. Now you can develop a relationship over time. Now you can begin to develop a friendship. Congratulations, at this point, it is a two-way communication!

Good question;

As per my opinion, I think sending out individual welcome letters to each and every Individual PSA will be a better option which will bring closer your links and the Affiliate addressed will feel more attached to you emotionally as well as individually. The One to One correspondence will bring closer your ties with your Team mates which of course not only boost their morale but also entrust them with a feeling that they do have individuality and importance in your Team.

The welcome letter which new PSA’s receiving is the first form of any communication that they are receiving after they join, thus the letter should be drafted in such a way that it gives a warm welcome feeling to the new entrant and also some idea what SFI stands for and your willingness to remain available whenever the PSA requires any help or guidance of any kind. Your Letter should clearly mention your personal emailid as well, so that the PSA should add you up in his contact list also and feel free to communicate whenever required. A new PSA will not care much if he is addressed through Team mail initially as a part of a large group that we (sponsors) received in any single day. They will definitely want to feel that they are special and not just a number of our list of PSAs.

Once you sent out an individual letter then E Cards are the best options to encourage them further from time to time by Starting from Welcoming, Giving important Tips & Congratulating them on achieving any mile stone by them.

You can send them a Team mail every week in a group to have the feeling in them that they are the part of a wonderful Team and encourage them to contribute at least one hour daily to the TO DO List and other Tabs so that they continue their VP Streak and a Badge for them.

Thus according to me the First communication has to be an individual letter to each PSA and subsequently Team mail will be OK.

Well, to answer straight up: Yes. And, Yes.

Here's how I do it...I create habits for myself while setting up for duplication. I use the tools at SFI and develop a pattern that I can teach to my team.
When I receive new Team Members (from the SFI Co Op or PSA To Go), using the tools provided, I send out the formatted letter from each affiliate’s profile page. I have modified mine just a bit, but it is basically 'right out of the box'. I use ~FIRSTNAME~ to personalize it since this code will drop in their name, then I send it and mark it sent (when you do this it removes the option from the profile page and now you know you have completed this action). Do this Immediately!

The next day, I take a quick look at their activity from my Movers Tab (check all your affiliate activity here and click the blue box to earn your AVP) and send an Ecard. Congratulations are in order! You can include a getting started tip, or perhaps send a Fast Track card, but be sure to keep it very brief.
Now I wait and watch. I keep an eye on their activity for the next few days. If all goes as planned, they have contacted me and are beginning to have questions. If they have questions, I begin to work with them. Once we are working together, I start making notes in their profile (when the pencil turns ‘green’ on my genealogy page, I know, at a glance, that my new affiliate has shown an interest). If there is no sign of life from them, I simply rotate them into weekly/bi-weekly and eventually into my monthly mailing. I do all of the mailings from the genealogy page. It keeps me organized and I earn my AVP.

Use all of your SFI tools and make these actions a routine. When you have done this, you will teach duplication and your team will use these tools and begin to grow their business.

Now you are free to move on to bigger things to market your business. And, there are tools and habits for making that easy and duplicatable, as well.

You can send as long a message as you want.You can do a copy/paste message.Just back-space one letter, then put it back onto the message.

I love those e-cards because the recipient feels special. I like to give the new referral a chance to put up their picture first for the best effect!

At the end of the day, send the second message.Be sure and include the use of Home, Hot Spots and how to find their Gateways/links.

Most network marketers are used to coming into a new site and putting up their picture and profile, then finding their links/gateways. and taking off to advertise.

The worst thing is getting lost. I felt smothered because I was placed where I could go no where else.They all need help getting around and feeling they can return to home.

E-Cards, digital Gift Cards, and this great website puts SFI in a class by itself.

Communication remains the core tool for you to utilize not only with new PSAs but with almost anyone! You need to spend some time to understand that your new Affiliates will not all be from your country but will represent a cross section of the Globe. Language may be a barrier. I therefore use various criteria before I send out my mail and some of these include:-

- if you have an advertising campaign and receive more than 100 enrollments in a day, l would want to keep my welcome letter short and here a group mail is ideal. The reason for this is because my main concern is to get the Affiliates reach their 700 Versa Points within 24 hours of joining.
- subsequently I would use Group mailing as a follow up to those Affiliates whose Affiliate Profile score is high and this enables me to focus on the serious affiliates before moving to the less serious group. Here again you can use either E Cards or Group Mailing.

It helps to vary the tools according to the needs of the Affiliates.

Group Mailing is particularly ideal and useful when you wish to reach a wider audience while I prefer to use E Cards as this has visual effects and are more personalized. This helps to build rapport with new PSAs faster than the group mail. Group mailing may work well when you wish to share
- announcements
- reminders
- milestones
- contests or any general detail that is not specific to any Affiliate

You can also use various filter categories for group mailing to separate your Movers from other Affiliates and this is not practical with E Cards in view of the high number of New Affiliates you may have.

Jovan, it is essential that you send out an individual welcome mailer as soon as you receive a new PSA in your downline, this instantly shows them you are there to help them and that SFI is a real business. As soon as I receive a new PSA I send them a welcome letter, I advise them what they should be doing in the first few days of joining SFI, then in the first few weeks, and then in the coming months. This gives new PSA's a clear guide as to what they should be focusing on, and also gives them inspiration as you have shown an immediate interest in them. This welcome letter will pay dividends to you (and them) in the long run, it will show you care about your team members, and will also show that you are there for them when they need support. I have a saved welcome letter that I simply copy and paste, but remember to include the new PSA's name, this gives a personal and professional touch to your letter.

Then you can follow up with later individual mailers or even group mailings at a later date, further offering your support. A great tip here is to check your PSA's progress out via the Genealogy Report, and then include their individual VP earnings in your mailer, this really show you are taking a personal interest in their progress.

Communication is the key to SFI,always keep in touch with your downline, offering them coaching and support. This is a part of being an Awesome Sponsor.
