I think affiliates in their first month should read a lot of the training materials (Launchpad, forum, marketing info, etc) and familiarize themselves with the SFI site, but NOT overwhelm themselves. There is so much information out there we are tempted to try to fill our brains with it all at once, but I think learning little by little, day by day, is better than trying to cram it all in at once.

New affiliates should NOT wait to advertise, should not forget about the fast track bonus,

Hi, Natasa!
I am glad you asked this timely question.
What new affiliates do in their first month will either
(i) Speed up their success, or
(ii) Hinder it and make it difficult for them to recover from their early mistakes
The first month is critical.
Your question is timely for we all need to be fully aware of it, as team leaders.
It is also a timeless question, as every day, new affiliates are faced with it.
So, what is it?

I think we are so eager in the beginning that you set your goals too high and when you do not reach them or even come close to reach them in your first month you are so disappointed that it would be very easy to give up.
So I would say you need to set realistic goals How much time, money etc do you have to invest? If you can not invest a lot of time or money you need to be patient - so your goals need to reflect that. As you make progress you move the goalposts.
It is also a mistake to

New affiliates should not try to earn all the "FREE" VP in their first month. They should earn enough to get to EA rank, then save the rest of the FREE VP for the second month since it's not as easy to earn VP in the second month.

They should also not worry about achieving TL status in the first month. Instead concentrate on building a team. After all, who will you lead if you have no team? Duplication is the key to success here so sponsor all the affiliates you can and be sure

In the first month of its operation in the new SFI members do not have to spend their T-credit at the auction. Should keep them and collect.
You should not avoid the forum and they are ashamed to ask about things they are not clear.
You do not need to avoid contact with their sponsors because they are there to help them.
You should not work alone because they will not understand what all should work.
You do not need to do yourself because this is a team effort.
You should

This is a great question for the benefit of the new affiliates.

A new affiliates should NOT do in their first month, the following acts, to wit:

Illegal Spamming, Cross-Soliciting, Autoresponders, Unauthorized Registrations/Upgrades, Advertising not approved by SFI and Other Acts Prohibited by the SFI Rules and Policies.

The new affiliates must be aware about these offenses in their first month or even in their whole life here in SFI, for them to avoid of being

New affiliates in their first month certainly need NOT to:

1. Rush to learn everything at once, but to take time to read and understand,
2. Do not be shy to ask what interests them,

and most important is...

3. NOT TO QUIT!!

The real fun begins after the second month, and only needs to be persistent!

Brand new affiliates ("newbies") should NOT fly through the To-do list like a buzz saw!!

When you do that, not a whole lot of what you read in order to gain the VPs quickly will stick in your mind. It IS wise to "buzz" hard enough to gain that all-important first 500 VPs in order to be rewarded with another 200VP for doing so. (And the nifty "Fast Tracker" badge that will be permanently displayed on your pages!:D) That gives the newbie an excellent start on
