Getting down line members to understand SFI and what to do is not a problem. The problem is that so many are in desparate economic need and are looking for a quick fix. There is no quick fix except maybe hitting the lottery! Besides your odds of making $100,000.00 in SFI compared to the odds of winning the lottery are far greater.
So the key to helping affiliates understand SFI is to connect with them in the first 24 to 48 hours. If you fail to do this, it's going to be an up hill battle from there! Once you can get a dialog going, then it is a matter of referring the affiliate to the SFI basics. You must be able to walk them through step by step. The most effective way to do this is by using the affiliate manager. It allows the sponsor to see the affiliate's profile including the versa points ledger. From the ledger, sponsor can determine actions taken and make suggestions for action to take to achieve the desire versa points. Once the affiliate is on the fast track, you must still monitor their progress. Answer their questions as needed.
The next step is to get the affiliate to EA. Make appropriate suggestions and review the affiliates versa points ledger to ensure that they follow your recommendations. Then, reward them for their work. Be sure all of the getting started actions are taken as well as launch pad training and intermediate actions. Answer their questions as needed.
Once the affiliate becomes EA, celebrate it like it's your birthday! Congratulate them in the stream and send them a personal thank you. Explain to them that each month they need to earn 1500 points at least to maintain this status. If you have done a good job of communicating with them, they don't want to let you down. It's humbling to have members explaining their situations as to why they can't maintain their status. When this happens, empathize with them and do what you can to help. Assure them that you have a strategy that will help them get back their EA status. In this case, support them 150%
Contrarily, if you never get a dialog going with new affiliates; it's difficult to teach and mentor. You'll have better luck rehabilitating a drunk! This is true because the drunk will sooner or later sober up and you will be able to explain how destructive drunkeness can be. Affiliates that don't log in, don't write, don't call, don't email - just plain don't care and neither should you. You can't revive a dead horse nor can you make a living horse go where he is determined not to go. Be encourage - keep prospecting! Some will, Some won't, So what, . . . NEXT! - Aiming Higher & Dreaming Bigger! - Wilg
