Here are twelve things to try. Getting a response is always such an exciting thing.
1. Ask them questions. These can be about their country, or area, or something of general interest. You can ask specific questions about their goals and their plans. Even ask about things like family. For instance - Is your family interested in helping you? I have some suggestions for how they might help. Read their ledgers and ask questions about the ones they aren't completing.
2. Respond to what you think they might be interested in.
3. Be sure that you are translating your short messages, using common words that translate easily, into their language so they don't have to do an extra step to read them.
4. Tell them something about yourself they may relate to, such as a story or something you have accomplished, especially in SFI. Sometimes a funny story brings a response. You don't always have to be serious.
5. Tell them why you have the qualities of a great sponsor.
6. Let them know that you are interested in learning about their country, and their culture.
7. Show them that you really do care by sending a few Tcredits or a small $2.00 or more gift certificate. If they don't use it you get it back, but this usually gets a response for me.
8. Have a survey in your email.
9. Use a BIZ QUIZ idea and send them a quiz.
10. Get better response by using Ecards or pictures.
11. Be consistent in writing your letters in such a way that their interests are in the forefront.
12. When you do get a response, immediately thank them for it and respond back.
