In brief, I would say - spend the most of your money on Duplication.
This is what I try to do and I recommend you do the same. Why? Because “Duplication = Compensation” (money). Surely you would have seen this formula in the Leadership Challenge blog!
SFI recognises that growing our teams and getting our team members to duplicate our efforts is the best way of growing our businesses. It’s the best way of ensuring we make money. That is why the leadership challenge is there, to encourage members to practise duplication.
I would recommend that you spend the bulk of your efforts and most of your budget on as many activities, as you are able to, that go towards duplication:
a) Recruiting Affiliates. - Purchasing advertising, running recruiting coops, purchasing PSAs from TC, establishing and maintaining websites, blogs etc... \
b) Sponsoring Affiliates. - Being a good role model & participating in all SFI/TC activities- leading by example, setting up a Standing Order and qualifying for EA early in the month, running team contests, providing incentives, encouraging and rewarding active team members with gift certificates, reassignments etc...
c) You can also advertise TC products. Any purchases by you PRMs will not only give you VPs and MRPs but will also provided more funds in the form of commission to help you fund your recruiting and sponsoring efforts.
How much money you allocate to each area is your decision of course but that is how I would work out my budget, with most of the money allocated to duplication activities.
