Communication is undoubtedly a two way process and unless there is feedback, your message may not be relayed accurately or understood. However, SFI has simplified this as much as possible with the Sub-Category in the Forum where you are able to converse with your country's nationals in your chosen language.
I have the advantage of being able to converse in a series of languages, some are fluent and some help me get my point across without much difficulty. Therefore as a leader, I explain in the language that the affiliate is most comfortable with. I have also discovered an alternative to overcome the language barriers.
There are specific smart phone applications that help you translate from one language to another using simplified phrases and I try to use this. Google also provides this facility and I make sure that I listen to the pronunciation of the words to enable me to speak better than a novice. I place a lot of importance on communications and therefore I want to be sure that the affiliate has understood.
I pass on useful threads from the Forum to the affiliates that will help them appreciate the importance of communications. Keep the line of communication open for them to reach you easily and this is probably the best example to show them how to do it.
