You have touched on a subject that is of genuine concern to anyone building a team; “the new affiliate signs up on day 1 and never logs in again!”
Although as a sponsor one can do more to overcome it, this problem is largely due to the type of affiliates who are signing up. In my view, there are three categories:
1. Those who are really serious about finding a home based business.
2. Those who are looking for a business that will give them instant monetary returns.
3. Those who are just jumping from one scheme to another.
Experience has shown that for every hundred or more new signs ups that you get, only a fraction will stay active. This fraction can be found in category 1 above and this is the type that every team leader aspires to work with.
When the sponsor receives a new sign up, the ideal response is to send a letter of welcome and make the affiliate feel at home, providing the necessary help he or she needs to get started without being overwhelmed with information. Now, imagine that you have done all this to hundreds of your new sign ups and only a few of them even bother to read or reply to your letter. The point I am getting at here is that, it is not necessarily your fault.
Is there a solution? Yes there is and that is never to give up but instead stay persistent in both your offline and online recruitment campaigns. Because of face-to-face interaction, it is true that, it is faster to build trust with those coming from offline marketing. For online recruitment, advertise, advertise and advertise! Eventually you will get the quality. Just five or more active PSAs maintaining their EA status every month and practicing the process of duplication is a foundation of a quality team.
It will take sometime but you will get there!
