Typically, authors will answer this question by telling you what you CAN promote... but that doesn't really help does it? You want to know what you SHOULD promote. There is a very big difference because 1 has far more sales potential than the other.
When considering what products to promote for any event and/or occasion, it is important to look into SUPPLY and DEMAND as well as the most popular trends. If a popular product sells well for the relevant occasion, is in high demand but short supply in the area that you wish to promote said item... This would be a GOOD product to consider as it would be more likely to generate sales.
Classic Trends for Easter include chocolates, bunnies, gift baskets, dried fruits and nuts, etc. (trends may vary according to your location)
It is also Important to thing about your target market. Who are you promoting to? Do you think you will make sales of this particular product to this particular market? Ask yourself these questions before making your decision.
