You are right to be concerned about this. It is possible that they would feel unwanted if they are re-assigned.
When I re-assign my PSA's I send them a message to tell them that I re-assigned them and the reason why - I re-assign according to language in the hope that they will become active if they can communicate in their own language.
I also send a message to the new sponsor to inform them about their new PSA's and also that they should try to communicate with that person in their own language as soon as possible.
When I receive a new PSA from my sponsor I react as soon as I am notified that they were re-assigned to me.
I greet them via e-card and make it clear that I am absolutely delighted to have them. After that I follow the same plan as with my other PSA's.
