There are many ways of learning to be a good Team Leader.
The SFI Rules of Success at https://www.sfimg.com/ROS/Index?referrer=search is a great place to start if you want to be a good Team Leader.
Go and have another read of the rules now and every now and then go back and have another read to refresh and to refocus. The rules are all about being a successful business owner in SFI and I believe that if you want to be successful in SFI you need to become a Team Leader.
To ensure financial security and to earn a huge income we need to progress beyond Affiliate and EA levels and become a Team Leader.
While all the SFI Rules of Success are applicable to becoming a good Team Leader, I particularly like the following ones:
- Rule 3: Lead by example. Your team look up to you and will follow your example. Exhibit good business practices & do what you preach.
- Rule 6: You succeed only if they succeed. Your team should be your focus. You want them to be successful because if they are successful, you business will naturally be successful.
- Rule 8: Leaders are readers. This statement is often quoted and it is quite true! If you don’t read you don’t learn SFI and the business well, you cannot keep up with developments within SFI and the business world, how then can you lead your people, train them, motivate and inspire them? Leaders need to read.
You can also learn to be a good Team Leader by:
- Learning 'How to be an Awesome Sponsor' at https://www.sfimg.com/Support/Solution?id=191295 Don’t just read the Dos and Don’ts, put what you read in practice.
- Modelling yourself on others. Have a look at the successful Team Leaders in SFI, those who are DTLs and those you can consistently find on the Leadership Boards. Study their leadership style and what they do. Try them out yourself. You might even contact them and ask them for their help and guidance. Your sponsor, co-sponsor and upline can be great source of inspiration and learning.
- Participating in The Forum, Ask SC, and even consulting your A2A friends. Learn what have worked for other Team Leaders and try them out yourself. They might work, the might not but what you are doing is practicing being a good Team Leader. You are taking the initiative, you are trying out things for the benefit of your team.
- How about doing some research on the internet and following some of the successful entrepreneurs. They are successful leaders.
There are many ways to learn but I believe that what I have stated above are the most important ones.
