I dont believe that we can identify one single best way to motivate affiliates to buy from TripleClicks. We are all different and what appeals to one person may not appeal to the others.
I would therefore suggest a broad approach to encouraging and motivating your affiliates to buy from TripleClicks.
Start by talking to them about TripleClicks and why purchasing from TripleClicks is of benefit to them.
Start talking to them about TripleClicks right from when you 1st make contact with them, when they sign up to SFI. If you dont include it in your Welcome Letter, make sure you bring the subject up as soon as possible. Keep this up and never stop extolling the benefits of purchasing from TripleClicks. When you see them purchasing items, acknowledge what they are doing and keep on encouraging them.
When your affiliates 1st sign up to SFI, SFI Support sends them a series of messages and several of those are about Fast Track. As you know one of the requirements of Fast Track is a purchase of $20 from TripleClicks. This is generally the 1st time that a suggestion is put to them of buying something from TripleClicks. There is a time limit of 10 days to do this, so this sends a message of urgency to buy. At the same time they have just been granted $20 Signing Bonus. Capitalize on this and point out to them that the $20 they are asked to spend in order to get their Fast Track qualification is really an investment which will gradually be refunded in the future as they start earning commission. They really have nothing to loose and a whole lot to gain - especially if the invest their $20 in the NMP.
They are being introduced to TripleClicks and hopefully to the start of a regular practice of purchasing from TripleClicks. This is just the beginning. Motivate them right from the beginning.
Explain to your affiliates the relationship between SFI and TripleClicks and how TripleClicks is vital to the successes of SFI and therefore their own businesses. Keep reminding them that for all members of SFI one of our dual role is the promotion of TripleClicks and its products and services. (the other one being recruiting/sponsoring) Without sales our businesses will fail. Clear appreciation of this could be a motivating factor.
Also explain to them the how the effects of sales and how they benefit from these: referrals; commissions, versapoints, subsequent purchases, executive pool etc..
You also need to explain and encourage Transfer Buying. If they buy from TC what they normally buy from their supermarket etc.. they would generally get a better deal, VPs associated with the products and how it will affect the executive pool.
You can also motivate them by your actions. Let them know that you are purchasing from TripleClicks. Recommend products to them, not only at your Leadership page but also in your regular streams and newsletters. Tell them what products you have purchased, especially if they are useful tools in building up their businesses such as PSAs to go, websites, educational books, reviews every month for VPs etc..
Keep doing these things and never let up.
