In my opinion, a great advertisement should follow the basic AIDA model:
> A for Attention
(catch attention of your potential customer with a noticeable ad title, a photo, a slogan);
> I for Interest
(grow an interest that was caught by first look at your ad to be sure that the potential customer be interested to read your ad at all);
> D for Desire
(reading your ad, the potential customer must feel desire to try & have the product/service you advertise for him/herself) and
> A for Action
(the potential customer needs a call for action that is clearly stated in your ad like "get it now" or "it is your for..." and similar).
I suppose that you should advertise the products/services you love and are enthusiastic about (because it's useful, have low price and high quality etc.)
And remember that we love to buy but we do not like when someone is selling something to us.
Also... we are happy and interested to buy anything that we WANT (DESIRE) and not the stuff that we actually need or someone else says it's good for us (we're not interested in that).
Best wishes to your success.
