Tell them what you do, and the motive behind what you do.
Most people when they hear "You should do this" and "You should do that" will always think "yeah, but what do I get out of it?" And when you start explaining the benefit, they are already listening with scepticism in their mind.
Therefore, instead of approaching it that way, try to just let you team know what you do.
Example: I have been trying to find out how to increase traffic to my website. There are ebooks sold by ECAs which I have bought and read. Then it dawned on me that others are also looking for what I am looking for. So I have decided to promote the ebooks being sold by ECAs on the same subject matter.
The target audience is different, i.e these are people already having a business they chose to do but want to increase traffic to their business. So promoting SFI to them would not work, but promoting traffic strategies and similar tools would get you commissions.
Teach your team the thought process. They may decide to follow you promoting the same ebooks. But they may start thinking in a different way and start promoting different ECAs using different strategies.
Your interest might not be their interest, but guiding them to find out for themselves would eventually lead them to follow your strategy and build their business, which effectively builds your business too.
