Funny thing about this time of the year is, it seems to bring closure to the year gone by and spread the new year in front of us like a book full of empty pages. These pages invite us to start filling them.
You have to decide what your pages are going to look like. Is it going to be positive and upbeat or negative and soul destroying. Make your choice.
It is not enough to decide you are going to have an awesome year - you have to do what needs to be done. Take an almanac or desk pad and plan your year with SFI. Treat your almanac or desk pad and your plan as a working document - you can adjust your plans to work around life. Somebody said: Life is what happens while we make plans. Keep that in mind and be prepared to adjust.
I find it helps me to enjoy the festive season - the Christmas carols in the shops, the Santa's, the lights, all the people out there - smiling (or irritated), families getting together (with all the weird family members and all) Enjoy it like a child - you will be surprised how it energizes you. Christmas is the time of goodwill and love - enjoy it.
While enjoying the magic of this season - do not forget to advertise to recruit new team members and to advertise to make as many sales as possible - having success here will also go a long way to energize you for the new year.
Most of us have a day or two off work - make the most of it and rest - make an effort not to think about your normal problems - they are not going anywhere. Just soak up the magic of the season and you might find that the solution to your problems come to you without much effort.
You can not separate your life in compartments - whatever happens in your life will have an affect on your work. So make sure you concentrate on YOU and your family - it will only be good for your SFI business as well.
