For effective, professional and result oriented communications, most of our business building needs are met with SFI' s resources and tools. The various components of the Team mail (Genealogy, PSA and CSA mailers), the E-cards, the internal message system, the SFI IM chat, the stream posts and the Leadership page, are all highly suitable for our business objectives.
Furthermore, SFI offers the opportunity to use external communication resources. Email between sponsors and PSAs/CSAs is available. We also are advised to list our phone numbers, our Skype and/or AIM contacts, our Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn IDs.
Facebook and LinkedIn groups as well as Google hangouts can be effective in providing additional training on duplication and support. Posting there may have similar results as using the SFI Leadership page.
Any need assessment of additional communications resources should be based on evidence of tangible increased effectiveness.
If we realize that some affiliates do not respond to the SFI traditional communication tools, we may, then, look for other alternatives. The goal is to have have positive results: get our team members active and see their businesses grow.
There are also questions of personal preferences. If a sponsor and their team member enjoy using a particular internet app and agree to communicate through it for business reasons, there may not be any harm in doing so, provided that SFI communication guidelines and rules are observed.
