To be a good Sponsor, of course keeping our team engaged all the time, would be a perfect situation. Somehow, the actual situation is so difficult to predict when it comes to the activities of our newly appointed affiliates. There are so many unforeseen circumstances behind the reasons as to why most of the new sign-ups not being active.
However, as a good Sponsor we should:
1) Sent them an e-card or welcome letter immediately after they join, as per notices received
from SFI. Guide them to get started the correct way. Present only the facts and be honest
in your approach with your new sign-ups. Never mention about upgrades until they are
ready. Do not sound greedy!
2) Create rapport and trust. Maybe you can create a group chat on Whatsapps, Skype or any
other social media. This way you are constantly in contact with them, should they need your
assistance on matters pertaining to their daily/weekly or monthly tasks. Not limited to just
your PSAs, you can also add your CSAs to your support group because CSAs activities are
also as important as your PSAs.
SFI instant messaging (IM) is another way to keep line of communication open.
3) Make them feel comfortable and important. The focus is always them not you. Think about
growing your team above your personal gains. In the long run, you will reap the benefits
from activities of your team members. Comes January 2016, emphasis and focus will be
shifted to growing a team rather than achieving ranks of Team Leaders, because it will not
happen if you have no team and active members especially your own PSAs.
4) With the latest changes, like introduction of Signing Bonuses, new Team Leaders
requirements, new Privacy Max etc, you need to be on top of everything. So you are able to
answer should your PSAs/CSAs ask for your input or details of the changes being
introduced.
To summarize, most of new affiliates join without any knowledge about SFI. With the huge information and training materials, could lead them to confusion and as a result, their inactivity. It is the Sponsor's responsibility to ensure that information are disbursed systematically and guidance be made available 24/7. By showing that you care about them, sincerely want to help them to achieve their success, then you are definitely doing the right engagement process and could lead to high and peak performance by your team members. Recognize and reward the achievers accordingly as praises and recognition will create high self-esteem.
