To get your new sign ups stay engaged with SFI for longer than one day, do the following steps:
- Give them your warmest welcome on their first day. It is the first friendly exchange between you and your new affiliates. It sets the tone for future communications and encourages new affiliates to engage with SFI.
- Their first day of engagement in SFI could be confusing or overwhelming to your new affiliates, make sure to emphasize to them in your welcome message to focus on SFI BASICS and LAUNCHPAD to get them started right.
- Send a follow up through E card as a starting point in building rapport with your new affiliates. You can take it to the next level by sending your personal messages through emails. Building rapport is no easy task. It requires you to be a great listener (not just a good one). Team Leaders/Sponsors who are listening take good notes, are quick to follow through, and are responsible enough to proactively address their new affiliates immediate needs and requirements to help them on their first day and in getting started right.
- Whenever they’re online, initiate a chat with them. This is one of the most effective ways of making them feel comfortable in their journey with SFI. This would also convey to them that you’re there as their friendly guide.
- Monitor the progress of your new affiliates’ activities using Genealogy/Movers tab, especially on their first week. Make sure to address their issues in performing their To-Do List in your group support messages.
- Offer a one-on-one support right in the beginning of their journey. When you do one-on-one support on their first week, make sure you’ve done your homework by knowing your new affiliate’s status of progress in order to help him/her effectively. Mentioning their journey’s progress no matter how “insignificant” it might seem to be can boost emotions, motivation and perception of his/her SFI journey.
And the more frequently your new affiliates experience that sense of progress, the more likely they are to be creatively productive in the long run. Whether they are trying to solve an obstacle in doing their Getting Started actions or trying to understand the Fast-Track membership, everyday progress—even a small win—can make all the difference in how they feel and perform.
- Getting started is always the hardest part; encourage them by mentioning the Signing Bonus (SB) in your first interaction with your new affiliates. You’ll be able to identify those affiliates qualified for the SB through the SB Balance filter in your Genealogy or filter those who have received SB and the amount of SB they’ve received. This would excite them to stay and become productive with SFI.
Conclusion:
You need to keep in mind that SFI is a network marketing business, which is based on a team building philosophy rather than a supervisory one. It is important that you’re setting the right example as you train and support them right from the start.
The most important and effective way for Team Leaders/Sponsors to earn trust quickly: be a strong communicator. It should be on your first list to always allocate time to get to know your new affiliates right from the very beginning. Helping them in their immediate needs, your guidance as they get started in their journey with SFI will fuel their motivation and get them stay engaged with SFI for longer than one day.
