SFI has great ways to communicate with your team, but am I missing out by not using outside resources too like email, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, etc.?
When it comes to communicating with your team communicating through the SFI channels seems to be enough. I do have my sponsor and a few of my PSA's on Facebook as well - but we do not really talk about SFI there. It helps to get to know them on a different level, more personal.
I think when you get to know your team it becomes more an issue of loyalty, it makes it harder to just give up. You try harder because you do not want to drop your team and they do not want to drop you - so they try harder.
When it comes to sales and recruiting - you need to use every avenue. Facebook blocks us in a lot of ways but it is still possible to do some advertising. Pinterest also blocks you - but if you advertise using your blog or website you can use Pinterest too. They also have a paid facility that you can use to advertize. So I will suggest you use social media for that purpose.
