Here are few networking strategies that I have used to start engagement and connections with potential ECA's recruits:
Collect business cards where ever you go - I even get them from restaurants that are not part of a chain,
Leave brochure or small printed flyers at places that have postings for others to see such as at the Laundromat, doctor offices, business office waiting rooms and even in public places such as library or coffee shopped
Review postings of "Want Ads" or "Selling Ads" and document contact information of business owners who may have a unique product that can be distributed through TC
When contact information is collected then a follow up letter or memo with an ECA post card will be sent in the mail directly to the people who are mentioned on business cards or even on the Ads. Direct mail with a discrete message that is short and to the point highlighting 2 - 3 gains that the ECA recruit will have by joining your ECA team will be enough for them to consider using TripleClicks to expose their product line beyond their usual customer base.
