- keep in touch with my customers regularly and advise them of any "deals" they maybe interested in or inform them of special discount offers;
- show gratitude for their continued support by way of a thank you note or if you want it to be personal, use their email and thank them;
- add a surprise gift in their orders - and follow it up with a feedback call or inquire if there would be anything else they would like me to include in "their" wish list. This would help me keep in mind what is it that they like;
- listen to your customers when they are talking - you do not want to miss out on valuable detail that will come in handy when packing their orders; very often we miss out on important information for current or subsequent orders;
- keep notes about your customers likes and dislikes (that you will pick up in your daily conversations) - it helps to know as much as possible about your client's buying behaviour;
- suggest alternatives when a specific item is not available and carry out your promises honestly and with integrity; be professional at all times.
Do not make excuses for your mistakes, admit them and your customer will be loyal to you, always.
