The purpose of the Gift Card is to attract new PRMs into TripleClicks. Once enrolled, if they decide to become SFI affiliates, they automatically join your team.
There is no way to keep in contact with your PRMs through SFI, so in order to stay in touch with them after they sign up, I prefer to use digital Gift Cards, and on my promo page, they need to subscribe to an autoresponder list I have set up specifically for the purpose, before they get a redemption code. That way, I can continue to talk to them about the benefits of both TripleClicks membership and becoming an SFI affiliate over a period of time.
If you are using the physical cards, you can tie them to SFI by giving them an SFI business card along with the Gift Card, and briefly tell them that if they enjoy the games and other benefits of TripleClicks, there is a good chance some of their friends will as well, and that by becoming an SFI affiliate they can benefit from sharing it with them, always stressing that becoming an affiliate if completely free, with no purchase requirements ever.
As for getting them excited, you need to be excited yourself. That will shine through, even if your pitch itself is not as polished as you might like! And the best way to stay excited is to review the incredible opportunity on a daily basis, using the To-Do list.
