In the process of building your SFI and TripleClicks business you will grow accustom to the many different ways of enrolling new affiliates. You will probably find out that you may be good at two or three different ways for signing up your prospects.
One of the best ways to acquire affiliates that have the greatest potential for becoming an active affiliate is from the “face to face” method of prospecting.
This method is the strongest because people join up with other people more than joining a company or program. They want that personal touch; they want to see who they may be joining up with.
To really be good at face to face or one on one sign-up you are going to need to learn a follow up system. The reason I say this is most people will not want to “sign on the dotted line” when first meeting them.
Another way to say this is: when you go to the good places to “recruit” affiliates you need to get “recruiting” out of your mind and have a mindset of gathering contacts or leads. Most people will not give you the time needed to sign them up on your first meeting and if you are trying to do this then you are blowing many good contacts out the window.
Your main goal should to create a friendly connection with your prospect, gather their email address or home phone number any method you can so you can get in touch with them again. Ask them to write down any questions they may have and you will contact them in a couple of days to answer their questions and give them more information on the business.
Important point: Remember where you met them; write it down in your follow up notebook. This way when you contact them again you can say: I am so & so we met at so & so and I shared with you about a good home based, part-time second income source.
As to the best places to gather your face to face leads are anywhere you go. If there is more than one person in the same place you are, then it is a good place to get a lead or two. You don’t need 100s of people around to have a good prospecting area. As a matter of fact the busier the place is the less likely someone will stop to give you the time of day let alone listen to a short business proposition.
Make sure you give them a business card and a flier not much more than that – you want to spark an interest not a decision.
