SFI is a Multi-Level-Marketing (MLM) business. Relatively speaking, this industry is still in its infancy. However, it is growing fast as one of the most effective sales organization models. Some of the most successful world business leaders recognize its potential and are embracing it wholeheartedly.
However, there is still a majority who does not understand it. This explains the reservations MLM is still facing. Thus, we will find, in our family members, some who will support us, others who will be neutral, while the rest will express hostility to various degrees.
Our warm market is one of our primary prospective targets. It is made up of our family members and other close relatives, our friends, our business relationships and wider network of people with whom we interact on a regular basis. The penetration we can muster into this market will help us launch our business and start seeing results rather sooner than usual.
In that regard, it makes it much easier to build an SFI business when we have several of our family members who embrace it and even join in as affiliates or TripleClicks customers and ECAs.
There is a very good probability for that happening, if we have had excellent relationship with our family members, especially if, in the past, we had supported them in their own endeavors. Most of them will likely return the favors and support us in our efforts to build our business. Or, at least they would refrain from showing some form of hostility to what we are striving for.
These are the family members and close relatives with whom we have built some form of strategic alliances in terms of both personal and business interests. We want to strengthen those alliances with every possible means.
Nonetheless, it is very unlikely that everyone in our family will understand what MLM is truly about, and be positive about it, to the extent that they would embrace it. Some will express reservations and others may even accuse us of lack of realism, or laziness. They may see us as unwilling to go out and find a regular job like everybody else.
Here is where the strategic alliances we built come in. Our allies will defend us when we are criticized in our absence, while our positive attitude and unwavering commitment will be the most adequate answers to that criticism.
Even if none of our family members embraces SFI or supports us, we should still remain firm in our commitment and focus on building our businesses.
One effective way to respond to negativity expressed by our family members is to always remain friendly with them, regardless of what they may continue to say or do. In addition, we can, indirectly expose them to SFI and TripleClicks. And, when we have finally succeeded in building our SFI business, we should remain always forgiving to those who were hostile.
