I can tell you from my personal experience that most if not all of your family will think that SFI is a waste of time. If you believe them then you can't be successful in SFI. But I refused to accept their opinion of my 'personal project'. Even to this very day, I often refer to growing my SFI fortunes as my personal project. I realize that if it is to be then it is up to me, not them. Not my sponsor or upline but me.
So 8 years later and several thousands spent and earned, I am still in SFI. You have to separate your personal life from your business life. You must tell your family when you are going to work on 'your project' and then make time to just spend time with your family doing what you've always done with them. Every once in a while, my sister will ask, "Are you still trying to make money online?" I smile, and say "yes and you should shop TripleClicks for your next gift instead of going to your local discount store! I can provide you will a discount on anything that you like. . . " This usually can garner some interest for the moment but the timing is critical.
Thus, I say that it is not so important that your family embrace your 'SFI business' as it is that you should embrace it. Although, if they did it could give you early leverage that you need to make milestones. I have 9 brothers and 4 sisters. So if they all joined my 'project' then became active EAs then I'm practically guaranteed around $171 dollars in commissions but this is a modest estimate. It could be a whole lot more.
So I guess you say why is their support not important? Well, though they are family, there are different personalities. They have different interests and goals. A near friend is better than a distant brother in any case! Solidarity is the crux of duplication and in this business that's everything. If you can get it from your family super but don't expect your friends or family to embrace your ideals. Many a friendships have been distroyed because of a conflict of business interests. So I say keep your friends and family out of your business and keep your business associates out of your personal life. Should you find congruity of mind, nuture and treasure the opportunity to work together.
