If the affiliate is not getting as much out of SFI as they are putting in, chances are they need to adjust their priorities.
Remind them that building a team is a slow burner as far as income is concerned, so they should not expect an instant return on their efforts (unless they already have a list they can work with before they sign up). However, it is essential for long term growth, so they should keep doing it.
But in order to turn a profit faster, they should put as much time and effort as possible into selling specific TC products, or developing new ECAs. This will give them a much faster return on investment, so this should be their number 1 priority, until they are in profit.
I would ask them what they are doing now, and make sure that it includes actively promoting specific products, and more importantly, promoting them to the right people.
For example, there is little point in promoting herbal teas on sites most often used by college students. But they might have some success promoting music downloads or games there.
