You will want to consider that when people are attending a job fair, they are searching for a paid job and that means a salary (tangible income) at the end of their first month at work. With a job, people are marketing the skills they possess or have acquired for which they are getting paid.
In this case, you may not get a very effective response because you are not offering job seekers what they need. It may be worth your while to get a couple of unusual marketing promotional items such as:
1. Instead of distributing fliers which probably would get thrown away in the trash, give out promotional pens or stick on magnets with one of your gateways printed on it. They will both be utilized consistently and your link will keep knocking on the minds of the prospective affiliate.
2. Get a stall of your own at the job fair if you are willing to spend on advertising but make sure you advertise it as a long term business. Remember you are searching for quality affiliates. This might catch the attention of prospects who look at this as an alternative in case they do not get a job.
I am assuming that you are referring to having a temporary place where you can talk about SFI. Here again, giving out marketing brochures and having a computer at hand would be a good idea. It will help to sign up people and show them your own website and explain briefly what the business is about.
It would be a good idea to keep a visitors book to help others who may not have the time to share their email contacts if not phone numbers. This gives you the opportunity to call them up and discuss it further at a later time.
