I don't see the point in "retiring from SFI." It's an essentially-free source of additional income. If you've decided you want to stop promoting, and you want to keep making commissions, do that. Personally, I would only consider doing that when I have enough money to pay for everything I want to do for the rest of my life. Otherwise, congratulations, you get to struggle to pay for food, clothing, and shelter with no money.
Instead, let SFI become an additional retirement supplement--as long as you have more money coming in than you have going out, you can continue indefinitely.
