Most people feel overwhelmed when facing things that are new to them. They are anxious to get things done and therefore try to tackle several tasks at once. People who are new to network marketing may find it first challenging and therefore require extra time in learning the stuff. This is typical for new affiliates joining SFI.
Here are steps you can do to guide your new affiliates to prevent or minimize information overload:
- When sending your welcome message to your new affiliates, introduce yourself briefly, direct them to the Getting Started page and include your contact information.
- Ensure that your messages to your new affiliates in their first week are in line with what SFI are presenting to them upon their joining. You don’t want to confuse them by including other topics that are not consistent in regards to their journey with SFI.
- Ask them to focus on SFI BASICS and LAUNCHPAD. You need to reiterate the importance of understanding these core principles of SFI by telling them not to move on to other topics until they feel confident and fully understand these basics. Always offer your support and be prompt in your reply to their questions.
- Use your Genealogy to track the progress of your new affiliates. You’ll be able to identify their Getting Started activities and send your support messages accordingly.
- Always adapt your support messages according to their learning progress. Don’t jump from one topic to another just to put your interest ahead by prompting them to upgrade to EA as quickly as they can to put you in a position for qualifying in the Leadership Challenge.
- Offer them one-on-one support to ensure that they’re getting started right.
These steps above if followed can prevent/minimize information overload and create a healthier and more productive work environment for your new affiliates.
