This a really good question on how we can guide new affiliates to minimize or prevent information overload.
On the one hand, we want new affiliates to get started on the right foot and to be able to take advantage of Fast Start and to do mainly the Daily and Weekly Tasks in their To-Do-List.
Some affiliates get lots of VP in the beginning but use up all the VP that should be saved for following months in order to continue with their SFI business. This can lead to discouragement and high drop out rates.
I suggest that, since these new affiliates are really prospects, we need to first let them know what SFI and TripleClicks can do for them. If you have a leadership page, send them there for tips on getting started off the best way possible, offering options and links. If not, give them the link for www.sfimg.com/FT, Start, SFI Basics and Launchpad.
You don't have to remind them to do Launchpad exercises, since they will be getting messages directly from SFI to do this. As their sponsor, co-sponsor, or upline sponsor, it's your job to give them the inside scoop of what you do that has been successful. This should be done in a DRIP method, a little bit at a time.
I also suggest watching closely those affiliates who are scoring VP and checking their VP Ledger through Genealogy and giving individual instructions and encouragement for as long as they want it. Very few will say they don't want your help. If they do, respect their wishes and just send the normal team mail out on a weekly basis and keep up your leadership page, offering all the latest information, contests, and more.
