There are so many variable (IF's) at play here so I made it very simple for myself. I do not have time to set up and keep complicated spreadsheets of my activities. I use what SFI provides for us and made a very plain choice.
I advertise TripleClicks and individual products to generate sales.
To recruit affiliates I promote SFI.
So in my case I have 2 IF's
IF they sign up to SFI to make money and they also join TripleClicks - which will most probably happen immediately or once they realize that Sales at TripleClicks is where you make money.
IF they join TripleClicks because they are interested to make a purchase they might also join SFI as an affiliate - BONUS!
I don't think we can seperate SFI and TripleClicks - they are equally important. The one feeds of the other.
At the end of the day only you can decide what works for your business
