I provide training for my PSAs.
For my CSAs, I leave the training up to their own sponsors and I tend to focus on supporting and encouraging them along. At the same time I invite my CSAs to contact me if they have any issues they need help with.
Regarding the training I provide for my PSA, I have standard messages that I send out to all new PSAs. These are in a short series starting from Welcome, Overview of the Business, VersaPoints, How we earn money in SFI. These messages go out within the affiliates 1st 8 days in SFI.
How the affiliate reacts to these messages will influence the type of training they receive from me.
1. Those who don’t bother loging in after signing up.
I would try and make contact encouraging them to log in and activate their business. If they don’t respond within 14 days of signing up, I move on and as long as they don’t opt out, they will continue to receive routine messages encouraging them to log in. I would move on and focus on the workers.
2. The affiliates who are fast workers - those that start off with a bang. I just let them go.
I know that some sponsors tell their keen affiliates not to collect all the VPs from the ‘to-do-list’ and Launchpads and to save some for their 2nd month in SFI ones they have collected 1500 VPs. I used to do the same. I now just let the keen workers work. I warn them that it could be difficult to collect AVPs ones they have exhausted the standard to-do-list actions and Launchpad lessons but the decision on what to do is entirely theirs. That is why I encourage them to start promoting TC products and services and also start recruiting for affiliates early.
For me the best way of training these PSAs is to help them with their advertising and recruiting if they need help. Teaching them how to compose ads, Key coding, hit tracking, running ad campaigns, how to work out ROI, identifying markets and target audiences, identifying products for promotion, where to advertise etc..
When they acquire PSAs, I teach them how to sponsor their people and develop their teams.
3. The affiliates who seem to be after quick money.
In my Welcome letter, I point out to the new PSAs that SFI is not a ‘rich quick, make money for nothing’ scheme. I started doing that about 6 months ago and since then the number of new PSAs just after quick money has dropped drastically. I still get about 3 of those a month though.
I find that these people tend to keep firing the same questions all the time such as: how do I get paid; how much will my pay be; how do I get the SFI Credit Card etc.. I reply to them and give them SFI links where they can find the answers. It is quite obvious that they are in a hurry because they keep asking questions which they would not have asked had they properly read the information at the links or the documents I send them.
I do not provide direct training for these people at this stage. The messages I send them would be to let them know that they need to work in order for their businesses to grow and be fruitful and also to let them know that they need to be patient. This is a real business and real business often have to have time to grow.
If they change their attitude and start to work at their businesses, then I will provide training based on what their actual needs are.
4. The affiliates who are hesitant and unsure.
These PSAs still need to be convinced about SFI. I believe that to be really passionate about SFI, they need to be fully convinced that SFI is the vehicle that would take them to their dream destination, enable them to reach their goals.
The training I provide for them is more in the line of coaching and encouraging, urging them on to have a go. I tell them they cannot make a mistake with SFI and its costing them absolutely nothing, so have a go.
5. The affiliates who are slow starters.
There could be a variety of reasons why they are slow starters. It could be that they are busy at their regular jobs, sickness in the family, we do not speak the same language, not good readers, they are naturally slow, are procrastinators etc.
If they indicate that they are willing to work and learn about SFI then I work closely with these people even to the point of taking them step by step, walking them through such things as how to action their ‘to-do-lists’, how to enter the Daily Grand etc..
The emphasis here is to work with the workers and provide the appropriate training depending on the affiliates needs. I make it quite clear to the half-hearted and inactive affiliates that I would work with them and provide training for them provided they are willing to learn and to work.
