What is the ONE thing Affiliates struggle with most . . . and how do you address it?
One thing Affiliates, including myself struggle with most is team building. I know this because I am affected too.
The difference though for me is that I am aware of how to address this problem, however my own personal problem is time, which I intend to turn around soon.
Why do Affiliates struggle with Team Building? The reasons vary depending on each Affiliate's situation.
For some new or inexperienced Affiliates, it could be due to limited subject knowledge and for others it could be improper use of information or knowledge acquired or as in my own situation, temporary insufficient time etc,. These are just examples.
How then can this problem of Team Building be addressed? Here are a few suggestions:
1. Keep recruiting -
Use all the available means to continue to get more and more Affiliates. For example,
* word of mouth - this is especially easy with our family members, friends and even acquaintances.
* Get PSAs and CSAs by bidding at Auctions! Have you noticed how cool this idea has become recently? I am referring to Bid & Build! How awesome? If you haven't tried it, you're missing out on a good recruiting tool!
* Use the S Builder Co-op Unit - it's a worthwhile investment. If you do not have the experience to run adverts, or you don't have the time? S Builder does it all for you. It is available to all SFI Affiliates and it is very affordable at 72 cents a day. When I joined the S Builder Co-op, I love the convenience of it, the way the Affiliates get assigned to you gives you enough time to welcome them and do your follow-ups. It is a worldwide, global advertising tool. You can purchase one or more at TripleClicks and you can opt out and opt in any time.
* A third suggestion is: PSAs To Go - you have a choice of Packs of 10 AFF/ 20 / 30. With the pack of 10 for $39.00, you also get 455 VPs! The list is endless for recruiting Affiliates.
2. The next step is to support your Affiliates. Show them how to build their knowledeage base by pointing them in the right direction not doing it for them. They will not forget what they researched for themseelves. Give them regular Tips using the E-Cards. Commend them when they do well, even for small efforts. If you notice a slack, mention it and remind them that you're available to help them.
Keep in touch regularly without becoming a pest. If you learn something new or you stumble on a gem, share it with them.
Reassign them with Affiliates and TCredits and encourage them to do the same with their Affiliates.
We know that after doing all these, some Affiliates will still drop out. But if we continue we will gain some.
So teach them to be persistent, determined and focused. Let them know that we all have the same challenges, such is life by the way.
As we strive to assist Affiliates to build their teams, we are in effect building our teams and they will be doing the same with their Affiliates. We must all keep updating our knowledge base and keep sharing information.
