From the very start, I see my communications with my PSAs in a larger agenda and a greater vision of team work, partnership and long-term relationships.
The welcome letter is only the first brick in the foundation of that long-term partnership. It should focus on building trust, friendship, and a sense of common interest. If we make the new affiliate feel welcome, understand that we have their best interest in mind, and the communication lines between them and us are always open, that would have a highly positive impact.
As sponsors, we want to be helpful and welcoming but avoid overwhelming the affiliate with too much information when they are facing the daunting task of assimilating all the new materials available to them at the Affiliate Center
We also need to keep in mind that the new affiliate is getting mail from SFI headquarters with guidance and tips on how to start building their businesses, how to navigate the Affiliate Website, and where to find help.
Further, SFI has eased our tasks as sponsor by making available a draft welcome letter. Even if we want to be creative, that draft welcome letter should inspire us as to what to say to our new PSAs to welcome them in our team. Doing so has the advantage of putting our welcome letter in harmony with the overall messages, tips and guidance the new affiliate is getting.
Thus, as much as possible, it should avoid paraphrasing the messages our PSAs get from SFI Corporate.
If we want to add more tips, these tips should aim at helping the affiliate to see the advantages of taking their training very seriously, not rushing through the information, and following the step-by-step outline in the "To-Do-List," the getting started actions, and the Launchpad lessons.
If they follow the "charted path" of this training, they will have the knowledge and a deeper understanding on how to succeed with SFI.
That is what will be beneficial to them as well as to us, the sponsors.
