I would say the best things to spend your T-Credits on would be the Eager Zebra games and the Pricebenders auctions. The plus side is that you earn Member Rewards Points (or some cool prizes for your business while playing Card King) which you can save up to purchase some more T-Credits and earn some more VersaPoints to raise up your score. So in a way, you're getting a return on investment with your credits. What I mean in a nutshell is that you're building your SFI business for every credit you spend.
